Answered: SXK / Infinite eBay (Who the .... is SXK?!?!)

First let me say that I'm sorry if this has been answered in the forums, but when I was running google searches on this issue I was not able to find a solid answer, but just a bunch of guesses and maybes.

Okay, so I just placed a order (from eBay) and it should be here today for a SXK manufactured Stingray X (Black/Copper).

The seller I ordered from did not list anywhere about the one I'm purchasing from him as anything to do with Infinite.

Although, I was seeing a lot of confusion to where as there are many eBay sellers selling their mods with SXK/Infinite branding. There are also many articles on forums and such asking about who SXK is, and if they're owned by Infinite.

This in-lies the problem that I sought out to be answered, many of those eBay sellers are telling their buyers that SXK is the PARENT company of Infinite....This is WRONG.

I both called and emailed Infinite to clarify, to in which they responded this morning with the following:

Dear Ronald,

Thank you for asking.
The "infinite" brand is a sole company of itself.

We won't let other factories steal our brand, we spent a lot of time and energy to establish our own brand.

They just do clones like ours as many other companies do.

Some of our clients get emails from other sales who are claiming that they are from infinite, but our sales all use the same "cltinfinite" domain name. Please be careful with these fake emails.

If you read between the lines in that email, which you often have to do when it comes to language differences, it seems to me they're saying their Infinite brand is their own, but they don't really necessarily say they manufacture their own products, nor do they say they don't also get products from SXK.

Yes SXK is a manufacturer. I know of a large retailer who recently purchased a rather large amount of the Stingray X's directly from SXK and they are of very high quality. As far as I know, Infinite does not manufacture anything. They get others to manufacture their offerings for them. The market is very confusing in China as most manufacturers only sell to suppliers(middle men) who then sale to retailers. A lot of times the retailers do not have a clue who actually make the products they are selling.
