Hi All, Anthony Vapes back here with my review of the Aspire Tigon Kit, please see the bottom for disclaimers and links. Note this is not marked as a sample

Introduction:
The Aspire Tigon kit is the latest Vape Stick kit from Aspire. Aspire doesn't need much of an introduction as they have been out seemingly forever, since back in the days when it was mostly kangertech, aspire, and joyetech. They have a pretty long history of making good stuff across the board with beginner kits, mods, and tanks. In 2018 they made some good mods like the puxos and some good pod systems like the breeze 2 and spryte. The Aspire Tigon is a MTL beginner stick style kit to compete with a couple of other good ones i’ve reviewed recently like the innokin endura t18 II, Geekvape Flint Kit, and the Vandy Vape Berserker MTL Kit so we’ll see how this one stacks up. There are 2 versions a TPD and standard one, i’ll be focusing on the standard one which is the one i recieved. It features an internal 2600mah battery and is a simple non-adjustable stick. It features a LED light for battery charge. The included tank is the Tigon tank and uses new coils 1 for MTL and another for a low watt DTL vape. It’s available in 4 colors, Black, Blue, Rainbow, and SS. Looking around online elementvape has them for 33.95 USD all colors in stock in the USA, and replacement coils for 12.95 for a 5 pack and the tank seperate for 24.95.

Tigon Battery Rundown
The Tigon is a non adjustable simple stick with a fire button and nothing else. There is one LED around the fire button. It tell you the battery level by the color. Pink means 3.8V or more, blue means 3.5V-3.8V and red means 3.5V or less. You can fire to check the battery charge as it’s only active when firing or charging. While charging the light is the color of the charge and when it’s full it’ll flash 20 times then turn off. You can also turn the device on and off with 5 clicks of the fire button. Very good job on the design and functionality of this battery.

The stick itself is really nice. There is not much of a design it’s just a basic stick and nothing fancy, very similar to the cascade one plus or voopoo caliber. The coloring is nice as well mine is like a flat blue and isn’t showing any signs of chipping or wearing. It can handle a 23 mm atomizer flush which is the size of the included tigon tank and makes it have an AIO type look to it. It feels well built and is also really light. The USB port is on the back and they list a charge rate of 2A

The only testing I did on this battery is the charge rate and battery capacity. I know i tested some in the past but based on the type of kit it is and what it’s used for I don’t feel it’s 100% necessary. I tested this using an inline USB meters and ran it 3 times overall. The charge rate held very steady around 1.76a so good rating on their part and it charges full in about 1.5 hours. Very fast charging for the battery size, Not to mention the low watts means it lasts a long time. The battery i tested between 2419 mah and 2430 mah so a little short of their listed 2600mah but not too crazy off. I would have felt a little better with a 2500mah rating personally so i’ll consider it slightly overrated but still a great size for the type of device. It also features passthrough vaping as well.

Tigon Tank performance
Quick rundown on the tank, it’s a 23mm diameter, uses a standard 510 replaceable drip tip which are simple black delrin ones and they include 2 tips, 1 for MTL and 1 for DTL which is great. There is only 1 glass size and it comes with a spare and are not bubble glasses and hold 3.5ml of juice. The tank itself does bulge out a little form the base though. The Tigon uses a slide back fill method where you slide the top back which is clearly marked and fill through the good size fill hole. Here is the issue I have with that though, In order to slide it back there is a lock ring that needs to be pulled up in order to slide it back. The lock right is a great idea so you don’t get accidental openings in your pocket however this one is so tight and smooth it’s difficult to open. They should have made it looser and added some knurling for grip so i’ll ding them there. The airflow is made for MTL vaping and low watt DTL vaping. Air comes in one 1 side only, they have a long oval hole for DTL and for MTL they have 5 small holes which can be closed off 1 at a time. It allows adjustment on the MTL side as a tight MTL to a loose MTL and for the DTL side a restricted DTL vape. The AFC is smooth and easy to adjust and on a stopper. The coil system is a simple pop into the base style but has a really cool feature. It can be replaced with a full tank, because when you pull the coil it activates a spring loaded “juice lock” to seal off the tank. You can leave the tank sitting full of juice with no coil and it won’t leak. Excellent design there that is quite innovative IMO. installing the coil opens up the JFC automatically.

It comes with 2 coils, 1 of each option. Both coils are ni80 so be aware if you are sensitive to nickel with an allergy. The 2 options are a 0.4ohm DTL Coil - rated for 23-28W and a 1.2ohm MTL Coil - rated for 10-12W. I started with the MTL coil and the flavor for a MTL pre-made was very good. Right up there with the best ones in the very limited MTL tank market. I also got about 17ml of juice out of it so great job there for coil life. Then onto the DTL coil. It was decent, not a lot i can compare it to as not many DTL tanks on the market in the 20-30 watt range really. Only ones i can maybe thing of would be the notch core and the lumi. So hard to complain too much to have that option. I also got 35ml of juice from it so pretty good life as it doesn't really use much juice at all either. Overall a good performing coils that shines mostly for it’s MTL performance.

Pros:
  • Build Quality of mod and tank
  • Size and Weight for portability
  • Simple Sleek Design
  • Great Battery Life (2500mah battery)
  • AFC is easy to adjust and smooth
  • Battery Indicator is good enough
  • Passthrough vaping
  • nice bright LED
  • Coil flavor is good for a MTL premade
  • coil life is good for the type of device it is
  • good 3.5ml capacity
  • 2 coil options
  • color options (4)
  • 2A fast charging
  • comes with 2 standard 510 tips (one for MTL and one for DTL)
  • Automatic JFC (can change coil with a full tank)
Cons:
  • slightly overrated battery capacity listing
  • Slide-back fill is hard to unlock
Conclusion
So with all that said, do I recommend this kit or not? I don’t like to do a hard yes or no, but this is going to lean towards the yes pretty heavily. Not a lot of starter MTL pens released in recent history although if you go back like 5-7 years it was pretty much the standard. This year all i remember personally is the vandy vape BSKR kit and the Innokin Endura T18 II kit and this one is a little bigger but also has a lot more battery life. The tank itself is a great option alone as well to pair with a small mod and compete with the innokin zenith tank, but it’s only an extra 9 bucks to get it in the kit with the battery. Overall it’s a great little pen kit to help people quit smoking. I added this to my sheet or recommendations linked down below as a kit and the tank itself in the MTL tanks

This is Anthony Vapes just keeping it honest, hopefully you all can say the same and i’ll catch you on my next review.
