Hi All, Anthony Vapes back here with my review of the Phiness Vega Pod Kit, please see the bottom for disclaimers and links. Note this is not marked as a sample version.
Introduction:
The Phiness Vega Pod kit is the latest Pod Kit from new brand Phiness but they are a sub brand of Vandy vape kind of like what vaporesso did with renova so seems all the vandy vape pods coming out now will fall under the phines brand. The Vega is a simple style AIO Pod with refillable pods and a built in 250mah battery and is inhale to fire. It’s available in 12 colors all with a black frame and different colored panels labeled as Zircon Green, Volcano Orange, Pine Cone Green, Coral Red, Crystal Purple, Rock Grey, Peacock Green, Gem Blue, Carbon Fiber Black, Leather Black, Python Green, and Diamond Black. Looking around online it’s available for pre-order only around 20-24 bucks.

Kit Rundown
The Phiness Vega is a simple rounded rectangle styled mini AIO (all in one) Pod kit, meaning there isn’t a separate mod or tank that can be used with anything else. It does have replaceable pods so you can carry spares, but those are sold separately and the coils are built into the pods so you replace the whole pod like a renova zero or innokin EQ. It’s a really small size, one of thee smallest i’ve come across personally. There is no adjustable air as well like most pods. Not a big deal but it is cool when pods have adjustable air but not really the standard these days yet so just a bonus when it has that. It has a small capacity of 1ml (so TPD compliant). The battery is listed at 250mah so a little on the small side but for its size but not bad. It features built in USB charging, they list on their site at .35A. I tested this once with an inline USB meter and for the charge rate it charges max at .41A max so good rating there. They actually undersold it a bit, I would have been fine with a .5A label but .4A would be the most accurate. It charges full in about 53 minutes. Battery size wise I got 282mah so close enough to the 250mah listed. Nothing way overstated from what they list it as, which is all i’m looking for so good ratings. It does have passthrough where it pauses the charging. The drip tip is proprietary and part of the pod itself. The Phiness Vega is very nicely built, and super small and light. The coloring is also nice. I got the pine cone green and volcano orange ones which are largely resin panels and the panels look nice. There is no wearing on the paint on mine so far.
The pods attach to the battery via a clip in system and are easy to get in and out and fit really well so good job there and fit it nicely with no wiggle or play in normal use. They just snap in and out. To remove the pod just pull it out. The filling is easy to do as well. You just remove the plastic mouthpiece from the pod and there are 2 holes which are large enough for a fine tooth bottle like most are.
Usage is pretty easy. It’s an inhale to fire only device with no buttons or modes. The inhale to fire worked great with no misfires or anything. There is a tiny little LED on the front bottom for battery charge. They don’t list any details sadly on when the lights change but basically purple is high charge, Blue is medium charge, and Red is low charge. It’s only active when vaping and a little hard to see. They should have done better with the battery meter overall making it easier to see and check, adding a 4th step, and explaining what the colors mean better. The pod is almost fully covered so seeing your juice level is not easy. You basically have to pull it out to check juice level. At least the tinting is very minimal so it’s easy to see once you pull it out. But this system really needed a juice window and should have just went clear pods. What’s the point of tinting something you can barely see when installed anyway?
Coil Performance and details
The Phiness Vega Pod Kit comes with 1 Pod only sadly. All kits should always include 2 coils/pods. There is only 1 coil option which is a 1.5 ohm coil. They don’t list specs so not sure of the wire type, likely it’s kanthal and it’s cotton wicked. They did send me a spare one with an extra coil as well so i got to use 3 pods in total. I used all 50/50 20 mg nic salt juices. With that said flavorwise it did perform better then most of this style coil which are usually pretty bad in the devices I've reviewed. But even at that the flavor was just in the vapable range. Not bad but not good. Coil life wise was worse. You have to baby them as they don’t wick well even with 50/50 juices and none of them lasted more than 1 fill. After taking it apart the coil looks pretty janky and clearly isn’t heating up evenly and the cotton is packed way too tight in the coil so not surprised what I got from vaping them at all. Overall the coils are lacking in flavor and really lacking in coil life and wicking.
Pros:
So with all that said, do I recommend this POD kit or not? I don’t like to do a hard yes or no, but this one leans towards the no. It’s not a bad pod system but sadly like many it’s held back by bad coils. I’d really like to see this improved in the future since we do lose a lot of good pod systems due to bad coils. I won’t be adding this to my spreadsheet of recs which is linked below. Feel free to check that out if you are in the market for anything new as i keep it up to date with the latest and greatest products I've reviewed.
This is Anthony Vapes just keeping it honest, hopefully you all can say the same and I'll catch you on my next review.

Pros:
- color options (12 total)
- Good build quality on battery
- nice simple looks and resin panels
- good size for easy portability
- good ratings for battery size and charge rate
- charges fast enough (53 mins)
- easy to fill
- pods are easy to remove and install
- price point for device
- inhale to fire worked great every time
- passthrough vaping
- No juice window to see juice level
- flavor is acceptable but could be better
- poor coil life
- comes with 1 pod only
- Small 1 ml capacity
- Small heard to see LED
- Battery meter should be better and explained better
