The worst part of this wait, so far, has been the re-discovery* that packages shipped USPS from IL go to Grand Rapids first before they go to Kalamazoo. For reference, the road distance from Cignot to Kalamazoo is ~170 miles, and they send packages another 50 miles north first. Grr...

*I used to know this when I worked shipping / receiving, and made it a point to use UPS when feasible just to avoid this problem as one of the bigger midwest UPS hubs is in Kalamazoo. But I'd forgotten.

I just order so much stuff that I forget about it and it is a nice surprise when it arrives.

Earlier today I kept checking the mailbox repeatedly...every 10 minutes almost. I told my boyfriend that I need to be careful because the neighbors might think I'm Grandma Death from "Donnie Darko"!
