I'm new to the site, not really new to vaping but don't know very much about it. I've been using a k100 mech mod for the past year, and I have had issues with it, but to be fair I'm brutal on these things. I've hammered them back into piece after dropping it and it's worked, plus my son tries to play keep away if he grabs it. Actually, my 4th one. And I've used vivi nova top coil tanks the whole time too. I just got (today) as Aspire Nautilus and am really enjoying that much more then the nova. I'm waiting for my provari to show up! :)

New member here but not new to vaping. I currently have the following setups:

-Hcigar Nemesis with Hcigar Stillare RDA, both stainless
-Hcigar Stingray with Crown clone RDA, brass/stainless accents
-Infinite King v2 with Infinite Tobh clone, both brass
-GP Paps clone with Enigma clone RDA, both brass

Right now all four have the same dual coil build but each with unique wicking to determine the best method for these coils.

PRO TIP for new vapers...a very tiny adjustment to how your wick contacts the coils can make a HUGE difference in flavor and vapor production.

Welcome all. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO OHMS LAW AND BATTERY AMP LIMITS. Bad things can happen to good people when they don't fully understand what they are dealing with.

Most important thing in vaping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:toast:

Yes indeed, safety first! Probably should have edited my post due to the low sub ohm mention to add a disclaimer. FYI, lots of electrical experience here, I check resistance using multiple redundant methods, and I'm using VTC5 batteries and swapping them out constantly.

Ah, a noob after my own heart! I'm running a Nautilus on k100 as well; however, I've only had mine a week.

Yes I'm still using an S3 'cause I spent all my money on Vaping!

Obviously not a noob anymore, but I was only about a month into vaping when I bought my first mechanical. (a Mako) That was over three years ago. That poor old mod has been to Hell and back, and still works just fine. So if you have any questions as to WHY a mechanical ... there's your answer. At this point that old mechanical cost $0.06/day

New member, been vaping just over a year. Very familiar with ohm's law.

    Mechs: Hcigar Brass Stringray

    Regulated: Vamo v5
    Hana DNA20 clone
    Way too many Ego batteries

    Atomizers: Unknown Kayfun/Russian SS clone
    Tobeco Crown RDA
    Unknown Trident V2 RDA
    Smok Octopus RDA
    Vision Vivi Nova
    Smok ARO I and II
    Aspire Nautilus

My current favorite rig is my Stingray with a dual 30ga parallel build at .4 ohms in my crown rda. I am using VTC5's and I do check for resistance, shorts etc before vapin' it. Tbh I usually just build it to 1.2 ohms and throw it on the Vamo (not sure why, there's just something special about that vamo) and run it at 15 watts but I gotta say I have been enjoying the sting ray/crown combo quite a bit.
