Bought my first mech mod need some help

I’ve been vaping for the past 2 years and have been wanting to give mech mods a test and see if I would like them. I found that rig mod was having a blem sale and got a v3 for $55. I’m hoping someone can post some links of everything I should know before I use it. I want to make sure I cover all my bases and make sure I understand everything before using a mechanical mod. I understand how dangerous the batteries we use are and I am very cautious about my batteries and what condition they’re in before using them. If anyone has suggestions on 18650s for mech mods that would be great to know what to look for and what to stay away from.

I’m not using the mod until I know and have read everything that I need to know about it.

Well, you're off to a good start in that you recognize there are things you'll have to learn to use a mech safely. I'd recommend Baditude's blog here:

The most important things you'll have to know are:

• Ohm's law - how to calculate your current draw (and how to select an appropriate resistance for your coils)
• Battery safety - how to select a suitable battery for your current draw
