I'd give USPS a call to check up on that tracking number, maybe it got lost in the facility or there is a problem with the destination address.

A similar thing happened to me locally, called the Post Office and tracked down the shipment. It was on its way back to China because the destination address had a spelling mistake, but they grabbed it just in time before it was shipped back to China.

You made me look. USPS usually doesn't update their info until after midnight and late in the morning the day it's delivered just after noon. Until that second update it just says "Processed through Sort Facility .... Elk Grove Village, IL 60007". I copy & paste the tracking number into the USPS website since it seems to be updated sooner.

Of three orders: Friday's order came on Monday. Sunday evening's order is here today. Saturday morning's order left Denver, CO last night. Makes me wonder where it's going since it usually would have been here yesterday. It's a kit for a friend - she's going to have to wait.

Well, USPS customer service said they'll get back to me with 2 business days and gave me a case number. Looks like it'll be awhile. I was reading here about others having the same problem and even eventually getting their packages only to find the contents had been tampered with! Kinda scary ordering more when this happens. I know it's not V4's fault, but I sure wish they'd use a different post office.

Agreed. Monday afternoon my order came, and for some reason the postal carried set my package on the front porch instead of sliding it through the slot. We live in a city, with a school right across the street, and the "market" right next door. They are very lucky I was watching for it, as it easily could have been picked up and gone before I even noticed. I wonder how much V4L loses due to "lost" shipments?

Anything is better than the USPS tracking service--it normally goes like this-
Item was received (2 days after the fact)
Item is on its way (this can last for weeks)
Item was delivered (the day after you got it)
But I do have to give my mailman props, if he sees me, he lets me know if there are any packages and such. He's a great guy, I just wish the postal service could get their act together. You'd think with all the competition for package services would make them shape up a bit. Also, I should admit, I live in an area that has the worst postal rating in the state, so I am a bit frustrated with them.
So far, there havent been any screw ups with my important shipments from V4L though. Great company, with awesome customer service.

Miracle! The Post Office finally told me on Tues. that the package had just disappeared and there wasn't anything they could do. This afternoon, there it is in our mail box! It looked like it had been run over by a truck, the end was ripped half opened and a package of carts was missing.

I'm kind of afraid to order from V4 again after this. I've heard that PO in Elk Grove Village is notorious for this sort of thing, and it's a crap shoot whether or not we get packages that pass through their hands, or what kind of condition they'll be in if we do get them.

I sent a $12,000 watch usps once and it vanished. Thankfully I had insurance on it but I know what really happened. Somebody working for USPS is wearing a watch that costs more than their car. Pisses me off.

I also got a my very first package. Was open and soaking wet. It is odd how the V4L packages seem to have issues.

I have made several orders a month from V4L in the past 8+ months and have never had a package arrive in other than great condition (knock wood). I think it is a crap shoot on how your package is handled along the way, not necessarily any one sorting facility. I hope you don't let this deter you from ordering this great product, you may have an occasional shipping problem no matter where it is shipped from.

Jani, we've made several orders and all but this last one arrived fine. But, if you do an advanced search here for "Elk Grove", you'll see that we're far from the first that have had trouble with that sort facility. They seem to lose and/or destroy packages regularly. Much more often than any other I've had dealings with.

I've been ordering from V4L for 13 months now & have never had an issue. Deliveries always about 2-3 days after order. USPS track & confirm for me has also always been right on. Ah, one of the many advantages to living in Michigan, lol.
Makes you wonder exactly where the problems are originating from for some of you.

For me, it was definitely the Elk Grove Village sorting station. Per the tracking:
Processed through Sort Facility, November 24, 2010, 4:36 pm, ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL 60007
Electronic Shipping Info Received, November 10, 2010
Processed through Sort Facility, November 09, 2010, 9:09 pm, ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL 60007

They processed it twice. When it first arrived, then a couple weeks later when someone found it where it had been drop kicked/run over by a truck/opened and a pack of carts stolen.
