Not flash, not chattango... IRC, you know, the one people can actually use without dedicating their browser to it?
We could have a nice channel on a decent server and get people using xchat, chatzilla or irssi for you Linux guys. I currently moderate a chatroom for yo-yo discussion as I am also a yo-yo enthusiast and collector. The process isn't that hard and most of the time all you have to do is just leave it up on idle and wait for a decent discussion if nothing is going on at the time.
After a while and we get some members in we could appoint some moderators.
If there's any interest, I'll talk to my friends at vbirc and see if they're interested in allowing us to host there.
Getting a new chatroom going is hard, but I think if we press into it, a lot of us guys can become regulars which is what I hope happens. People can do juice and tech deals much quicker in a public chat as well as have fun discussing cleaning techniques and mods. It's all up to you guys. I see how often posts get made here and we've got more than enough members in the forum to have a decent chatroom.
