It's a metal, so I couldn't see it being any worse than your coil heating up. Just oxidize it properly and whatnot.

Just ordered a 1'x1' patch of 325 mesh, can't wait to get it. going to use it to cover my cotton wick under the coil.

If they ever determine that breathing massive clouds of vapor creates a risk, then the stainless wicks will have a risk by association
