Any lingering side effects? [For people who have vaped at least one month]

How are you doing with any side effects after vaping for a month or more?

  • I never experienced any problems from vaping.

  • I had some MINOR side effects early on, but they went away on their own.

  • I had some MINOR side effects early on that I solved by switching strength, PG/VG, flavor, brand.

  • I had some MAJOR side effects early on, but they went away on their own.

  • I had some MAJOR side effects early on that I solved by switching strength, PG/VG, flavor, brand.

  • I continue to have some MINOR side effects.

  • I continue to have some MAJOR side effects.

PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS POLL UNLESS YOU'VE BEEN vaping FOR AT LEAST ONE MONTH.

Anyone's who read through the health board here knows there are countless lists of side effects that might or might not have anything to do with vaping. They could be from adjustments to vaping, stopping/reducing smoking, sensitivities to PG or VG or flavoring, or maybe just coincidental and unrelated.

Obviously there are too many variables to pinpoint cause among the masses here, so that's not my goal. I'm just interested in seeing how people are doing after having vaped for a while. Did you feel great all along? Do you feel better now? The same? Worse?

I'd think of headache, sore throat, dry mouth as minor stuff and nausea, dizziness, rashes/hives as major stuff, but I'm leaving them undefined in the poll. Interpret and respond in whatever way you think fits your situation.

The only side effect I had was a bit of a sore jaw in the beginning, since vaping mechanics of inhaling are different than smoking.

The only other side effect I've experienced, since I started vaping, is a stiffness/soreness in my neck and shoulders that still hasn't gone away. I was a bit worried until I realized that I was spending way too much time on ECF with my laptop on my lap and that was causing the stiffness/soreness!! LOL! :D I try to put the laptop on my dining room table once in a while, now, so I'm not looking down for such long periods!

Mostly I just had dry mouth, sore throat and headache, but it all went away within about two weeks.

Oh but I recently tried a 100% VG e-liquid and got a rash on my face. I didn't make the connection at first, but when almost two weeks went by and this rash wouldn't budge (even after using hydrocortisone cream), I decided to cut out the VG since that was the only new thing I'd introduced to my body. Sure enough, the rash started clearing up. I'll stick with the trusty PG I've been using since the beginning. :thumb:

I had that too and I eventually realized it was from clamping down and sucking too hard on my e-cig. Once I got the technique down, that mostly went away. but sometimes I'll be typing away only to realize my jaw is starting to hurt because I've got this e-cig hanging from my teeth... like right now... *ouch*

LOL. I often slump into the worst posture while sitting with my laptop on the couch. So I also try to spend more time at the dining room table to prevent the sore neck/shoulders.

I have been vaping for 7 months now- In the beginning, I felt as if I had influenza- My neck and shoulder muscles were tensed, stiff and in a knot- I felt awfull, until I discovered I was dehydrated- I started hydrating myself with water and this side effect disappeared. Even nowadays, if I don't drink enough water I contract muscle soreness. Remember to drink at least 2-3 L of water everyday. I also had heart palpitations right at the beginning, but I vape 26mg and I think I just overdid it. The palpitations is something I have not since then encountered again.

Yes! I have an extra $1500 :):):)and a close, personal relationship with my mailman.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I have been keeping a spread sheet since day one - listing every nickel I spend on vaping supplies. I have lots of devices, spare parts, juice and cool mods. I also keep track of what I would have spent on analogs.:cool:

Oh - and no side effects - only benefits.
