It's been a while since I've received any notices from CASAA. I heard this morning that OK BILL 2097 (I believe it is) has passed. Can I get some conformation on this please. Guess I'd just like to know what the bottom line means to the vapors of Oklahoma.

This is the most current CTA for Oklahoma: CASAA: URGENT Call to Action! Oklahoma Again Tries to Tax E-Cigarettes and More -- Floor Amendment #2 to HB 2097 Once it gets updated again, we will send out an email to Oklahoma members.

The Senate passed Johnson's amendment on 4/16 and then the amendment was sent back to the House on 4/17. CASAA rejected the amendment and issued a Call to Action to oppose HB 2097. The House still has not voted on the Amendment. RJR and Sen. Johnson have been negotiating to get an acceptable amendment that vapers won't oppose. As soon as they get a final draft, CASAA will let members know if it still needs opposition or not.

Thanks for the update! I'm not in Oklahoma, but I remain concerned about this on a national level. As one state goes, so go the rest. This must not happen. Plus I cannot just sit back and rest knowing my fellow vapers are under fire!!!

Best thing to do is to join CASAA. Even if you can't afford to help with the money, you can always help by voicing your opinion. I've never gotten a response from any of the politicians I've written, and I really don't care if I do. But at least I can sleep at night knowing that I at least tried. I'll clog all the emails accounts I can when it comes to this. Maybe someday they will get tired of hearing from me and respond.

Already joined, buddy. Thanks! Yeah, they may get tired of you - but the legislation attempts will never stop. That's just the reality regarding the control freaks we have in power.
