So there i was this morning, after i made a order with someone else, i thought i would see if jug heads was up and running at full steam, and honestly i should have went to them first.....in fact i tried to order these, got right up to the point of checking out and that part of the site is down :facepalm:

Anyway i noticed they have two nice mods, and wondering if anyone has tried these or noticed them;

The "Jugz'0'matic Pistol Grip VV Mod", 510 Kit by Visions looks really sharp and using twin batteries side by side not stacked

the other one was a pre-built altoid box mod Jugheads 510 Jalopy 5v Can Mod V 1.0

now if only the check out cart portion will go back online :|

Got a pistol grip vv just before they went down the first time..Not very happy with it. When it works it's great, but now it just sits there and blinks at me! Anything i connect it to makes it quit (blinking light,no power)! Sometimes its fine for a while , then it gives out. I was waiting until they got through the rush to email them about any fixes. It's pretty much just nice to look at now!:(

I made an altoids tin mod after seeing it on juggies site. Used the same battery holder and switch too. Works great for me.

They are meant to use rechargable Nimh AA batteries ( rated for 1.2volts each, not the 1.5 of a non rechargable ), Batteries and chargers can be found anywhere, even walmart.
I get three days use between charges, and the voltage seems to sit mostly around 4.4ish volts ( under load ) for most of its charge.

I use kanger standard resistance bottom coils on it. I don't think the batteries can handle dual coils very well. But i haven't tried, don't see the need for it really.

Positives for me are long and consistant battery life between charges, batteries are easy to find if they wear out, and claimed to be a safer battery than lithiums if they fail. And the standard cartos combined with the available voltage makes for a comfortable wattage for my tastes. Also there is no fancy electronics who-ha to fail me. And i wouldn't feel bad if it fell overboard on a fishing trip like I would with a high dollar oufit.

Negatives are the weight, and size, of this type of mod. Four AA batteries add up, some might not like the aesthetics of a tin mod or the ergonomics (none) .

But overall, for the price Juggs is asking I think its well worth getting one just even as a back up of your back ups.

But but also, with 25 dollar c-twists available now a days, other than battery life,,,,,,,,,,,

Well, pretty good for a $25 Mod. Wouldn't want to be see in public with it though :)
