My daughter was wheeling mine when she was 13 (she one helluva spotter now). And she always said she was going to have a Jeep for her first car. She actually saved up the money, and bought that Jeep herself when she turned 16. We added a lift and 34" tires right after she bought it

Even with all the creature comforts in my '12 JK Rubi, and the fantastic PentaStar V6, my '06 TJ Rubi is still my favorite Jeep. It was small, nimble, had the limited slip rear diff, the soft top that went up and down in no time, and it looked good with the windshield folded down

I tried folding down the windshield on my '09 JK once.....it took forever to do and looked like crap when it was down.

Yes, the JK's look awful with the windshield down. I've never bothered to take the windshield down on our JK's- I saw how much effort was required, and saw how terrible it looked, and just decided to not bother with it.

My daughter actually wanted a YJ- she likes the square headlights LOL. But it's hard to find a YJ that isn't on it's final legs. Her TJ is an '97. We had a bunch of stuff go wrong real quick (main seal was expensive, and the infamous cracked exhaust manifold, and a few other things), so we ended up putting about $1800 in repairs But after all the repairs, it has become very dependable.

Tjs still bring good money, I've never had the privilege to own one
