If you know him, you either LOVE him or HATE him.

If you don't know him, check out NewSpring Church

We are in the LOVE him category.

I don't personally know him (Perry Noble), but I just visited the NewSpring Church link and read the 'beliefs' and I can safely say I know I would 'love' him also! :)

it's the new wave of ministry. I am edgier than perry noble and reach those that have left the church or been alienated by it (ages range from 12-40). The biggest problem with this new wave is that the old hates us. It cost me two jobs in ministry because I refused to compromise Christ just to please the traditional conservative rich tithers

I know Ron Luce and he really isn't my style. I'm more of a fan of Dan Kimball, Erwin Mcmanus, Rob Bell, and my all time favorite: N.T. Wright. The best book for people to understand today's culture is They like Jesus and not the Church by Dan Kimball. I'm not a huge youth ministry book fan because unfortunately most that I've found are directed to those outside of culture and those looking for answers to reach youth.

Yeah I appreciate any person that has learned to separate church from Christ. I've taken my entire faith and decided to do what Christ did rather than what the church has come up with. The best thing to understand about Jesus is the culture he was in and to whom he was speaking when he spoke. He didn't just say good things like Confucius. He spoke to specific people for a specific purpose. Rob Bell gets a lot of his stuff from N.T. Wright (as do I) and I learned to think this way because of him. I can't recommend enough Simply Christian, Surprised by Hope, and Character Matters. N.T. Wright has been called the upmost authority on Jesus for his 900 page books on the life of Jesus and the Resurrection (3 total).

Yeah....Confucius, Mohammed, and all the 'rest' of the other gods are still in their graves......Jesus Christ is not! Now if I were shopping religions, I sure would want a God who is still alive....not rotting in a grave. My God, Jesus Christ, created them. THE CREATED CANNOT BE GREATER THAN THE CREATOR......and that includes satan, the anti-christ and the false prophet. Any religion that preaches from 'other books from God' are as false as a $3.00 bill. If you don't preach and teach from God's Holy Inerrant Word, the Holy Bible, I just won't listen and will rebuke them in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ!!!! Hallelujah to the Mighty Lamb of God who was slain for mankind!!!!!!!!!! Praise be to the Son of God who takes away the sins of the world!!!!! I bow before You, Lord Jesus! You are the One True God! AMEIN, AMEIN, AND AMEIN FOREVER!!!!!!
