One of these - for those of us who prefer a shorter, more comfortable P3.
I'm about ready to order a couple of the 2.5 versions and P3 springs - then machine them myself. Broke out a 2.5, and it just feels so much nicer than the standard end cap.
Unmodified, the 2.5 extension cap works on the P3. Same spring as the standard 2.5 end cap, which is what shipped with the P3 Beta. I picked up about 6 IQ points with the updated P3 end cap on the beta.
The new spring is wider than the original, so increasing the spring hole diameter in a 2.5 extension cap would allow you to upgrade it to the new spring.
You're certainly welcome to stretch your springs if it gives you the results you're looking for. Personally, I'll opt for the re-engineered parts with a higher spring rate.

I can probably rework the spring itself to fit in the end cap without having to alter the end cap I even heard of a guy creating a larger spring for his tatroe base when my local shop got them a few months ago I am also interested in seeing some pics if you alter the extension cap. I just think it would be easier to buy a tatroe extension and use the p3 end cap myself. Should give you the same effect yea?

Since this is the P3, it already comes with what are essentially a pair of Tatroe extensions. I'm looking to ditch one of the extensions as well as the stock end cap. The "classic" extension cap (classic being as it doesn't have the new P3 spring) shortens the overall length, and the rounded bottom edge just feels a lot better in my hand.
I was hoping that Provape would release a new version of this with the updated P3 spring, but since they haven't commented I'm having my doubts. I need to see if there's enough material thickness to capture the new spring if I enlarge the spring cutout in the existing part.
