Howdy Provape Peeps!

I picked up a couple of HP caps with my latest parts order and love 'em on my P3's and Classics.

The only negative is that they are a bit bigger than the standard end caps. No biggie in any case. Beyond that, they look good and seem to work great. Haven't compared battery life or IQ, but so far so good.

So here's a question.... will they require maintainance, cleaning or new springs? I haven't really bothered to try to disassemble one, but there is obviously a spring in there. :)

Anyone care to comment on the above? Anyone use them since they were released with the Procyon and have any thoughts?

Thanks!

I've used one, and also had these same questions...

And, it just so happens that I looked at mine after not using my Beta P3 for a while.

And, just now pulled the retaining ring out of mine to see what was behind the curtain.

My advice, do not take this thing apart!

Clean the threads, polish the brass, and that's all that will ever be needed.

There is a spring under the dome cap that soaks up the added space, but you won't have to replace the spring or adjust it. :)

The above quote is what ProVape (Vape360) had to say.

Of course, it would be good to clean the brass cone off once and awhile where it contacts the battery.;)

IMHO it's a pretty sturdy/strong cap -- so it should last a very l o n g time.

I know I bought some spares for the naked spring P3 cap, but I don't even recall anyone actually needing to replace them as they are much stronger than the 2.5 ones.

OK Tea, I will spill the beans...

The unit is made up of 5 parts.

Retainer Ring, Brass Cone, Spring, and External Stainless Cap.

The fifth part makes it unnessasary to ever take it apart or ever doubt its superiority to the regular spring cap.

The Fifth Part is a soldered wire the connects the brass cone to the stainless cap.
