For some reason I just cannot get this tea bag mod down. I tried this yesterday (for the second time) and it worked ok at first, except for a lot of gurgling which I assume means the atty was flooded, then I started to get a terrible burning taste. It was a brand new atty so I thought maybe it was just the newness of it burning off. But when I couldn't stand it anymore, I switched to the material that comes in the carts and the taste was immediately gone. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?

Which e-cig are you trying it with? Are you using the 'pyramid' type of tea bag, or some other teabag material?

I've noticed the same thing with the PTB and I'm trying to figure out how to overcome this.

I've been using the double folded and frayed mod and I'm having two issues. One, leaking. I'm getting a mouth of juice about 90% of the time and I can't seem to fix this. I've tried using 1/2 of the bag and the whole bag, still with leaking issues. The second, flooding and burning. I'm getting the gurgle almost all of the time as well as a burning taste at times.

Funny thing was, the first time I tried it, it worked without flaw. Now that I'm on my second day using it, I'm having problems.

Currently using TW 36mg juice in a Joye 510 if that helps at all.

So far, I haven't had much success with the PTB method. I tried it twice using my Joye 510. The first time, there wasn't much vapor at all. I figured it was probably rolled too tight, so I tried again. This time, I got a little more vapor, but still, nothing compared to the carts that came with my starter kit. I was using a new atomizer, too.

One other thing, I noticed that the tea flavor is really strong and I can still taste it over the juice. How do you wash the bags to get rid of the flavor of the tea? It's the Bedtime Story kind, and it's super strong.

It's strange how sometimes these modifications work for some people and for others -- no luck. I got this to work really well from the first time I tried it. Only one mishap in getting the bag to fit correctly. I followed the video instructions too carefully, cutting the bag apart with scissors and all that. But then I found none of that was necessary. Just folding and rolling, with a single cut at the end to get rid of the excess, was good enough. Vapor is good, and no burning taste or smell. Is it possible that you have some small threads that are reaching way down inside the atomizer and getting singed or something? I never did taste any tea flavor. Once I emptied the tea out of the bag, and shook the mesh a few times, there was no tea left at all -- none of it stuck to the mesh.

The only times that I have flooded my atty is when I put too much liquid in the cart when the atty is already saturated with juice. When I top off of fill a cart I would blow out the atty before putting them back together. Other wise I would get gurgling and potentially flood the atty. The other thing is I had to learn not to take strong drags. After trying other mods I realized just how lightly I take a hit off the FRF PTB mod as opposed to what is needed for other mods.
I guess the only other thing is maintenance of the material. Not difficult, but PTB as all filler material needs to be cleaned once in a while. I can give you more detail if needed.

hope this helps.
