I guess i have to post this here since it wont let me post it in the correct forum,
I have had my silver bullet about a week now and it looks like there is an o-ring that is getting swollen/squeezed out in the 501 connector. it looks like it is the o ring that keeps the positive post from contacting the negative "cup". I don't remember seeing it when i got it but i pretty much threw a Carto on it and went to town. Can some look at theirs and tell me it it is normal to see the o-ring, or better yet take a photo of it?

Thanks

There's an insulating plastic piece that separates the positive and negative contacts in the connector. It's not an O-ring. In some connectors the + contact is higher than in others. If you screw an atty or carto in too far it compresses the insulator and it can be damaged. One of my mods has a really high + contact so I screw my atty in just until it touches, it would probably go another full turn if I forced it. My SB isn't like that though and I have to screw atty's all the way in. Sorry, I don't have a camera that'll take a decent picture to show you.
