hey everyone.
I swear there have been threads in the past asking for help fixing leaky vivi novas, none of which i can find. im getting a leak in a couple, and will flood and gurgle unless filled to 2.5/3.5ml. this is not a complete solution, and just lessens the issue. every piece seems lined up correctly, but the leak is persistent out of the 510 thread.
is there a solution, or should i toss the bottom plate part? wish those were sold separately.
thx.

Are you laying it on its side when filled? That is asking for trouble...I have never had one leak from the thread unless too much juice went in from the top either from overfilling or laying it on its side which then floods it.....if it overfills from the top the only way to clear the excess is to remove it from your mod and lightly blow the excess into a paper towel...a waste of juice but when the vivi works its pretty good.....

my vivis are always on their side, except for when they are in my jacket pocket or in use. i set my p+ on its side, and they lie on their side once inside my ego case. if my ego case is in a bag, i'll make an effort to arrange it upright. i haven't even really had an issue with liquid in my drip tip.
as a result i've had to every once in a while take the cap off and dab the coil with a bit of paper towel, but i've never had it leak upwards a full ml before. maybe just a little residual amount, and not consistently. i've tried blowing them out a bit as well.
i should have mentioned that while washing the vivis out, i've dropped the 510-bottom plate pieces on my tile bathroom floor. that could have made them a little crappier? the two i've dropped are the two i'm experiencing the issue with. the other 4 vivis i have owned have been great. but in those dropped pieces i noticed that lying them on their side was in general bad news.
oh well. i guess i have had better luck with them than their reported user experience? i am a newly reformed carto/carto tank girl and this is the only issue i've really had. they're really only the same cost as a smoktech dct, and i've had more of those break on me than my vivis. so i guess i'll just cut the loss, toss the 510 pieces, and keep the extra parts. thx for your insight!

If you have a spare, try changing the head. Happened with the T2, as time goes by silica thins out and that leads to leaking and gurgling.
at first i thought i just needed to change the coil/head, but after a second try they were still leaking almost a full ml. :( this is liquid i've used in my other non-leaky vivis as well.

A full ml? then the joint at the base or the o ring where you thread the head is defective. Try changing the bottom assembly.
