I have been vaping for a few weeks now, and am thinking about starting my own side buisness, (depending on what happens tuesday), and have a few questions that only someone who deals with certain companies can answer.

Out of respect for the suppliers here, and in order to promote ethical business practices, id rather ask my questions privately.
If any suppliers are willing to answer a few questions to help me get started I would appreciate it.

Andy

hey fedor, 1/2 of the companies you mentioned have been on the FDA blacklist for a while...no imports have been received from some of those manufacturers in over a month!!!

I know that at least Smoore (absolutelyecigs.com) shipments are STILL getting through. A forum member just confirmed receipt of his bulk order.

This should not be taken for granted though. As i don't see any difference compared to buying from a middleman. These people do not need to be responsible for what they sell. The brand and reputation isn't theirs. When sh*t happens, they can just switch to trading something else.

Fedor, what's bulk to you?

My Smoore shipment has been sitting for 1 month and 1 day. So many import scan's they ran out of room ...

UPS: Tracking Information

Shipment of 17 boxes ... don't let the Rescheduled Delivery date fool you. They postpone it every single day ...

just sayin ...

Woah....backing off now, bro!!

I can imagine how messed up things are for suppliers right now. I apologise for any offence.

Someone received their shipment of a few hundred kits a few days back and i assumed it was still ok. I guess it still largely a hit and miss.

I think the supplier name matters as much as the recipient name? God knows you have incredible sales volume and have shipments coming in frequently. Could that have been a reason as customs have started fixing their eyes on you?

I hope everything goes well for everyone. Best of luck!

Thanks Fedor,

That wasn't even the large shipment stopped, that's the smaller of the two :( The other came Air Freight via Asiana ... Don't even let me get in to that story ...

Anyways ... keeping fingers crossed, hoping to one day see it.

What's funny is, that shipment (along with the large cargo shipment) was the first time shipping to our new address in Tennessee. I probably had 60-70 shipments to my California address with zero issues, once I moved, bammm ... the US Customs takeover happens. Its probably just dumb luck.

Also, it shipped under the company name and address, so even if I was on some sort of black list from my California days, it wouldn't have been carried over to my Tennessee days.

Who knows ... only time will tell :) I try to stay positive as much as possible ...

wow steve, thats messed up...usually they ship it to alaska from kentucky then the agents seize the package, I have never seen that. Who is holding the shipment? ups or customs? That is BS in my book...

yeah :(

all my shipments via UPS came 1 of 2 ways (using california as an example)

If shipping Sunday - Thursday, the package would go to Alaska, then through the LAX gateway at Ontario.

If shipped Friday/Saturday (because UPS won't deliver Sunday), it would go through alaska, to louisville, than back to ontario.

My shipment is in the possession of US Customs. Its being tested by the FDA, although, I'm not entirely sure what they are testing as no cartridges, etc... were shipped with it? Perhaps testing to make sure the battery lights up? haha

I am hoping to be able to find a direct supplier also as there is absolutely nothing available locally where I am living .
No one I have told about e-cigarettes has even heard of them I am hoping to take them to motor cycle rallys and other events of the like I vend at .
So if anyone wants to give up a supplier on the quiet side pm me I am in central ,mo. and it looks like a wide open market here.
I welcome all, the more the merrier we all have a niche to fill and our own customer bases to sell to,
I have never been in any business that did not stay all the healthier for having others to lean on in times of supply shortage lol. Well maybe the photo mug business lol
I am most interested in the dse series and the m-401 series
Thanks All

Don't forget when you decide to sell that you may have warranty issues with the hardware. Bad batteries, bad atomizers, ESO (equipment smarter then operators :D) errors, etc. Warranty is the killer in this industry. I have seen some big suppliers come and go with no back up of their product.

YUP YUP YUP that is a definite in any business you Must stand behind what you sell I've been buying and selling for over 25 years, my most recent venue however would arguably be the one that makes it an instant understanding lol when most of your customers park their bike in front of your booth you have no doubt of the need for a serious business ethic lmao
