I've been on ECF absorbing a wealth of info for quite some time now, but I still find myself getting frustrated when searching for answers or info to specific things--things that I know have likely been thoroughly discussed or addressed a ton of times.
With the sheer volume of posts on ECF, I'm finding that when I search for things (even when trying to be as specific as possible, using the advanced search even, I end up sifting through dozens of pages of results and hundreds of posts and threads to even find something close to what I was looking for. Most times, I'll veer off from what I was even originally researching, because I'll inadvertently find something else I've wanted to learn or check out while sifting through the results.
I always check specific forums first, and review stickies, etc, prior.
But when I'm looking for a quick answer to something....that should be a quick answer; I end up banging my head against the wall, while on page 12 of a thread, that was on page 4 of search results--still eluded by what I was trying to find.
Anyone else in the same boat? Any tips for marauding the myriad of information on ECF a little more efficiently?
Cheers,
-JD
