I started out as a non smoker (igrew up with 3 people that were 2+pad each that smoked inside so it was inevitable I picked up some habit eventually lol) I have asthma so I never got into the analogs (did have a few) but generally just chew tobacco. Oddly enough the nicotine doesnt effect me much unless I go above 24mg and lung inhale. I can leave it be for days and not get cravings for nic. But I wouldn't suggest picking up nic if you don't need to(albeit is better then alcohol or other things we arnt allowed to discuss here id stick with 0nic and keep vapong if you enjoy it.

I myself am a Vaper that has never smoke before. I had been tempted to smoke several times but i did not want to be smoking cigarettes. Im sure you understand why. They way i see nicotine and vaping is that it can be used just like some people would have a drink or something a long those lines. Not trying to say that alcohol is like Vaping just that they can be used for similar purposes. Sure we shouldnt start a nicotine habit but 1, at least we are doing it in a much safer way and 2, there a hundreds of different things that we shouldnt be doing but most people do them anyway.

I would say that for someone who has never smoke before that starts vaping should definitely stick to lower nicotine dosages. Really i would say nothing about 18 AT THE MOST. I started out trying 6mg and worked my way up a bit til i found the mg's that worked best for me. My magic number is 12mg. I am a lightweight :p

I've never been a smoker and picked up vaping at a party while having a few adult beverages. Now i'm hooked and do it all the time! Now while doing that I got my wife hooked(the real reason I got into it). We are about a month in and she went from 1PAD to 5 stinkies a day! I myself am a definite light weight, I use 6mg nic. I tried omg nic and its just too boring! I also like to tinker, so I love building coils and all that fun stuff. I also find myself eating less which I definitely need right now! :D:vapor:

I wasn't much of a smoker when I got started vaping but I desperately wanted to find something that would get my GF to quit smoking cigarettes! I had tried getting her the patch or gum talking her into cold turkey. Nothing worked picked up a starter kit after hearing about vaping on the radio spent way to much on the kit looking back now but well worth the money since my girlfriend no longer smokes! No more smoke breaks in the middle of my movies thank god but I really enjoyed it as well so I bought myself one haven't looked back It is enjoyable and doesn't smell terrible like cigarettes. Though I have trouble with anything over 12 mg/ml gives me a stomachache and a headache!

I suspect one of the guys at the local vape shop might be a non-smoker. At the very least, he's new there and fairly recent to vaping as he was surprised to hear that most people who switch will still smoke 5-6 cigarettes, while he claims he used to smoke 2 packs a day. He does carry his e-cig in his shirt pocket, but I haven't seen him vape much while I was there. Makes you go Hmmm... Now I try to get the more knowledgeable gurus to help me out.

I was a smoker before a vapor, but if you're using 0 nic level juice and enjoy vaping I see no problems with enjoying it as a hobby. The more I vape the less nicotine I want in my juices and I'm hoping to eventually be down to 0 because I enjoy the process/building/taste of vaping above all else, but as someone who previously smoked I still get that nicotine craving occasionally. If you enjoy it without the nicotine then vape on my friend!

Im not using juice with nicotine in it.

I quoted this post of yours because I figured you are using 0% nicotine juice. I doubt there are many people that are non smokers that have taken up Vaping. That doesn't mean, and I'm not implying, you aren't the only one.

For myself I am unsure if I i am ever able to get down to 0% nicotine juice I'll continue to vape. I may and then I may not. That bridge isn't anywhere within view.

I consider myself a non-smoker. Well...just about. Before Feb, I would smoke maybe 1 (and only 1) analog every WEEK or 2. That's one cigarette per week or less! The pack would go stale and tossed in the trash long before I finished it. So why bother at all, you ask??? Like many smokers, I also happened to really enjoy the taste of that 1 cig from a fresh pack after a nice dinner, holiday meal, or with a beer. But I'm a 3x/wk runner and even that one cig would take its toll on my lungs for a few days after I lit up. Not a pleasant feeling when I hit the streets. Running and smoking don't go too well together!

I consider myself a "light" vaper...usually just late afternoons/evenings. Here's the benefit of vaping that I have found after 2 months...
--It has NO effect on my lung capacity. I can vape 10min before or 10min after a 5m run if I want. (I usually don't tho!)
--I enjoy the taste. After the usual noob experimenting, I'm just starting to find flavors and PG/VG ratios that I like.
--I enjoy the cloud of exhaled vapor. :vapor:

The downside of all of this? Rather than injecting nic into my system 1x/week, I'm now doing it just about every day. My nic levels are at 12mg but I'm considering trying some ejuice at 6mg or even 0 to see how that works.

I'm very fortunate that nic addiction has never really been my problem. I know its a BIG problem for alot of people and I don't want to get myself too far down that path!

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Just my opinion, but if you don't smoke then please don't start vaping! Nicotine is more addictive than crack, and anything that takes you one step closer to the possibility of smoking tobacco is something to avoid like the plague.

But even if vaping doesn't lead to smoking or cancer, consider that twice as many people die from chronic lung disease (COPD) than from lung cancer. It's the fourth leading cause of death in the world, right up there with heart attack and stroke. COPD (chronic bronchitis, emphysema, etc.) can seriously impact quality of life for many years after middle-age. COPD is caused by long-term exposure to irritants such as smoke, smog, chemical fumes, and dust. So far we don't know the effects of long-term vaping of high concentrations of PG/VG/flavorings. But certainly there's some evidence to suggest that it's a respiratory irritant, which could contribute to COPD in the long run. So I would say for a non-smoker, it's not worth the risk. If you want to enjoy your old age, eat healthy, exercise, and breathe clean air!
