My girlfriend who vapes and smokes analogs introduced me to vaping. She has been vaping longer than I have and she just moved away from crap Ismoka stuff and bought a Kanger EVOD kit the other day. Whereas I'm into rebuildables and mech mods. Anyways, it's hardd to convert a person to vaping from smoking. The person actually has to have the determination and willpower to want to quit the stinkies. Vaping just helps a whole lot. Look at my situation lol.. My girl still smokes and she introduced me to vaping. She just didn't want to quit the stinkies until recently but she isn't 100% dedicated so she still smokes.

I'm with mare ze dotes; I would never convert non-smokers. I have a non-smoker friend who wants to try e-cigs to get rid of his migraine headaches. I'm am strongly discouraging him.

Then just yesterday there was a women at a vape shop who was a non-smoker. The owner was showing her how to do it and talking about equipment. The whole thing didn't sit right with me. Even if they are vaping 0 nic, they could develop a potentially expensive psychological habit.

Convert a non-smoker? Convert from what? Would I ever recommend vaping to a non-smoker? Only if they had a health problem it might help like obesity or diabetes and then I would educate them on how to do it without inhaling which wouldn't come naturally to them anyway. What I have done though is convert those who are apathetic to getting active on ecig legislation/propaganda. In networking terms, that has created hundreds of activists among both vapers and non-vapers, smokers and non-smokers, who see the corruption and discrimination setting in and don't like it. They've really swung into action from me sending them news/links. Why would non-smokers and non-vapers become pro-ecig activists? Because, if they don't, they know they're next in whatever life choices they've made being targeted. Most are at least coffee drinkers and have already seen the movement against THAT and all other caffeine products starting.

Not yet, but I'm trying. I am dealing with a hard core group of smokers. Wish me luck!;)

I was hard core too; 43 years of menthol smoking. I didn't start vaping because I wanted to quit smoking, because I DIDN'T want to quit at all. I started vaping so I wouldn't HAVE TO quit! I'm a five time cancer survivor and just didn't want to use tobacco products anymore, but since I've smoked for almost my whole life, the habit and ritual of it is pretty solidly ingrained in my nature. I look at vaping as a way to keep right on 'smoking' but without having to use cigarettes, without having to go outside to get my nicotine, without having to roll the window down on the car and get pelted in the face with rain, etc.

When I started vaping, I really had NO expectation of having it get me away from 'analogs.' My son had been converted by a friend of his and my son got me started while I was visiting his family over Christmas; I actually bought the first setup just to make him happy. Three days after I started, I thought I wanted to see what a "real" cigarette would be like compared to my vape. I got in my car and backed out of my son's driveway, opened a brand new pack of cigarettes, took one out and lit it up. I hit it once at the stop sign, turned right and hit it again at the end of the block when I came to the next stop sign. I then rolled my window down the rest of the way and threw it out on the street (was so repelled by it that I didn't even think to put it out in the closed ashtray that I STILL keep in my car) and picked up my vape. I've never smoked another cigarette since then. I am at this moment 27 minutes short of 90 days without tobacco.

I converted my daughter, two of my granddaughters and an ex-son in law over the next month or so from the time I started. I also converted a non smoker who is a diabetic; I got her to try 0mg nic juice in fruit and candy flavors to satisfy her desire for sweets. I think she now has almost as much gear as I do, lol!

Almost every day I am talking to a customer at work about the bennifits of quitting analogs and going to vApe. I let everyone who is curious try mine and most really enjoy it esp. If they are a current smoker because of the flavor that's in mine. And I also am running 2.4 mg juice so they get the nicotine.

I am working hard to get a local meetup group / smoking sensation group started to get the word spread to more people. If we all talk to just one person a day that's 365 people talked to a year and if we can get tobacco out of reach of future analog smokers the world would be a healthier place to live in.

I have 2 little kids 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 they are my everything and they are the main drive for me having not touched an analog in over three weeks after being a pack a day smoker for over 12 years. If I can do it anyone can is the way I look at it.

I converted 4 people. It took some doing since there was a person in our "group" that was spouting out the BS about toxins and stuff. After proving that to be false, people were really interested. It actually wasn't that hard. It's cool to see them stop smoking, and in turn, get others to quit as well. It's amazing how fast it spreads!
