My guess is that rudawg is close. That's what I was thinking, although I currently do not want a chip. I'm really enjoying vaping a fully mechanical Grand ever since my VV tube mods and how many times I had to send them back for repairs. Those chip sets I know are much more advanced now, I understand. I still love being able to work on it myself though. My bro just dropped a spring in Europe on Vaca and did not think to bring a vape tackle box of parts, so he now has to vape Bloog 808d for the next week.

Oy vey.

It will be very much like a woodvil side button aluminum mod with a few minor changes .
These will be built 100% in house . I wont be having hundreds of bodies made .
These will be mechanical mods I will let the hungry mod builders play with the electronics .

I don't have a time table I just started building the prototypes . Rob is just about semi retired no more working crazy mad hours . I have been taking time to enjoy life and its nice to have a little time to do the things I have let slide over the last 5 years .

If this works out it should be a killer mod oh and it wont cost $500 imagine that How does Rob do that

oh yay!!! That sounds wonderful! I was so hoping it wouldn't have a chip and would have a side button. Glad you're taking it easier, but you know you can never fully retire!! And how do you do it?? You're the jedi squonk master......modfather of course!!

Of course it's the porky dust that gives you your powers

Rob, I'm real happy to hear you say this. Not because I want you to semi retire, but because I'm glad you are taking more time for yourself. It's very important to do so.

I am working on a new mod its not a resin mod.

A new project in the works ought to be a given to anyone who has been fortunate enough to get to know you personally. No moss grows on your back. You have been very quiet on the forum and that tells a story too.

No pressure from me to be an Alpha or Beta Tester. I will just wait patiently until you are ready to let the news out of the bag (what/when).....

..... but come sale day, LOOK OUT!!!

This is great news, both on the 'semi-retired' part, and the new mod. I'd been thinking, ever since getting my first Woodvil, that an aluminum companion to this would be awesome. Sounds like a great new project.

It takes awhile to get over surgery, specially when they double team ya, so glad you're taking it easier. Hope you're fully back to 100% soon. Hope you haven't had any complications
