I'm starting to realize - after being smoke free for almost a year now I'm staring to enjoy the standard atty (510) again.

When I first quit smoking I was all about trying to "slay that demon inside of me" ...As time went on I bought LR atty's and thought they were my "saving grace". Now - since my LR have all died I went back to my stockpile of standard attys. Damn! You know what they aren't so bad. Actually I started to realize I had been losing taste on much of the liquid I had been purchasing (with LRs). Also - the extra longevity on my juice became quite apparent after just one day!

In my opinion when one first is trying to (slay) that tobacco "Monkey" off their back they are looking for the most powerfull punch that can be given. The LR atty provides that - without a doubt. But as time moved on with my e-cig and was forced to use a standard atty I realized "Hey - this ain't so bad" ...Yes some may need to take the extra long inhales to get that same "Ole day" feeling...but I gotta tell you that I think I'm starting to appreciate the standard more so then the LR. juice last way longer - burnt taste is pretty much nill. And I still get a nice TH.

I'm not sure but I think it's because I've slayed the beast (finally) ! So now I'm very content with standard attys at this point.

Anybody else come to this conclusion?

I tried LR, but didn't think it was as big a deal as everyone made it. Now that I have a 3.7/5v mod I use non LR atties again.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Anybody else come to this same thinking?

I discovered that too, with my Volcano set up. After trying most of the others, and having lots of learning experiences, I went back to visit the Volcano and forgot how much I liked it's size and simplicity. I think several things happen when you are new at vaping and have to go through the levels of experience. When you are new, it can be overwhelming and I found I did lots of bone head things until I understood the way these worked. Then after testing and testing so many other products, I figured out how each one was picky, and found sweet spots. Also there is a bit of "hype" on the forum about this product or that, good or bad, so it's easy to get swayed for or against something before actually giving it a fair chance. Going back to the beginning, I was able to set up and use the Volcano at it's maximum performance level knowing how to work it properly. I see a lot of people get impatient with new things, not really thinking it through or giving it a fair chance before getting upset and feeling ripped off. I know we all expect different things from our vaping experience, so there is no one way to do it that is best for all. It is nice to be able to go back and appreciate our roots, and think of the money you didn't waste because you actually do like and use it, even if it is just once in a while.

The first non kr808 atty/cartomizer I used was a magma atty from volcano...its 510 but they are at 2.4 ohms...I still have one of my original ones that works (though not perfectly)

I tried cisco 306's, they do suck up the juice, and still use them but for me...the perfect wattage is a on a 3.7 with a 2.0ohm...pretty close to what I started at actually. I find that going higher in over all wattage...like with a 5v device or a cisco really isn't needed with vg juices...but I still like the warmth of 2.0's so I can't say I would go all the way back up to 3ohm attys on an ego.

Bingo!!!
Yep I totally agree... I've been at it for about 6 months and I mean AT IT!... chain vaper... 5 to 10 mils a day.. a bit obsessive really.

It started with the Phidias' spicey vape for a 3.7 PV... people have discussed it as an electronic thing, but others think it's the connector and the perfect draw and air restriction... but I found that one of my Titan 510 attys that came with my Tornado worked perfectly... not too hot, but plenty of vapor! Turns out it's a 2.2 Ohm.

I was under the impression that Joye regular 510's were around 2.5 to 3.0 Ohm, but apparently I'm wrong, as I have recently purchased about a doz of 'em. Especially since along with my Phid, I have a couple high end VV's.

I've done the same, LR this and LR that, even 2.0 LR's.... Give me a reg joye 2.2 Ohm 510 anyday, and even on my eGo batt... Best flavor and clouds of vapor every time.

I too am enjoying the milder vape of the Cisco 2.0's. And recently when I was out of vaping supplies I broke out some 510 atomizers and dripped on them as well as using carts with filler. It's great to be able to revisit that stuff. I knew there was a good reason to keep it!

I am already back to the reg 510s. Fuller body and flavor and works great on VV mods.

Hey Doots,
Someone, i think it was IA, gave a run down on atty resistance for the Provari and he said that 2.2 Ohm gave the widest range of possible voltage options... I use it at anywhere from 3.4 to 4.2 volts... depending on my mood.

good call; i have been on the LR band wagon most of the time... and VV has helped me appreciate the reg. atty so much that i use them on my 3.7's and the VV's too... so they're a good standard atty to have...

next we go to the higher ohm regulars and then the HV's ... i hear they may last longer... guess because they are inherently more durable; less prone to popping ?
All I've ever used is regular attys....guess I resist the newer technologies...lol
