Do Standard and LR attys deliver the same nic content?

Very curious about this. I've exclusively only used LR attys but now I'm down to just one. I have a bunch of standards so I decided to start using one of them. I know LR atty's can dilute some of the taste compared to a standard. That made me wonder if the same effect happens with the nicotine.
It seems feasible to think that an LR atty could mute some of the nic content being delivered as well? Thoughts?

Not sure if this has ever been discussed - if it has sorry for bring it up again.

If you ask me, the answer would have to be no, and the LR atomizer will deliver more.
I don't know for sure though, it just seems logical.

If an LR will produce more vapor, then you are using more juice.
And if you are using more juice, you are getting more nicotine.

Unless of course the hotter temperature of the LR atomizer is somehow destroying some nicotine.

So it appears no one knows. Oh well I tried.

Well, I think you've brought up an interesting question that no one has a definitive answer to.

I'm going to take the dissenting opinion (purely speculative, of course) of what's been posted thus far. I would *think* that the warmer vapor delivers more nicotine, not less. For those of you who go way back in the time machine, or for those who have happened by later and read the thread, Trog (of Screwdriver fame) started a thread nearly two years ago titled; "[Nicotine] Are we getting it?" -- or something along those words. One of the theories within that thread was that because combustion takes place when smoking a cigarette, the hotter temperature delivers more nicotine than the cooler vapor of a PV.

If so, then my guess is that an LR delivers more nicotine. I haven't had an urge for nicotine in well over a year so I'm a poor judge here of which atty *feels like* it delivers more, if any at all. I *do* know that I am more satisfied with an LR hit as opposed to a regular atty hit but that may have NOTHING to do with nicotine being delivered... or does it? =)

'Tis a valid and interesting question, KGeiger. One that can be discussed but I don't think can be legitimately answered sans lab tests of some sort.

It can only be speculated upon but I would think that as LR's deliver a denser and hotter vapour it's going to deliver the same amount of nicotine in less puffs than a normal atomiser. Put it this way, lets say you have 1ml of juice that contains 24mg of nicotine, and in a LR atty you get 150 puffs out of that 1ml it and in another atty you get 250 puffs out of it, that 1ml is only ever going to contain 24mg of nicotine. Its just been consumed in fewer puffs in the LR atty. The same applies if you are using higher voltage. If you use more liquid to take the same number of puffs in the LR atty, you are going to end up consuming more nicotine.

With HV/LR I normally find I prefer to drop the nicotine level.

I can assure you it does deliver more... Whenever Im vaping High "Watts" (either H Volts or LR atties) my vaping sessions are different and either shorter or not so super-sucking on my PV. I was curious about this myself so I tried to vape sticking to a protocol so that timing, conditions and everything would match, and after my mini-science proyect I can state that:

1. If I vape HV same as 3,2ish I get OD...
2. If I vape '3,7' same as 3,2 I am NEUROTIC, meaning: I need my fix, suffering from withdrawal!!!!!

LR are much more satisfying than medium res. atties in a kind of 'rushy' way. They work similar to analogs in that aspect, IMHO. Though, you should not worry about running out of LR atties for a day or two, since you may discover a great and smoothly also satisfying experience when returning to regular atomizers. I've been there and now I do LR if I have been deprived for a longer period, and regular atties for longer, more 'relaxing' vaping sessions.
