I haven't read about anybody using these tobacco types.

It seems like mostly Cigar and Pipe tobaccos are used, just curious why?

Read on Wiki that most American Cigs use Virginia, Burley, & Oriental, or a mix thereof.

So thinking if I wanted to start extracting I'm looking for Cig tobaccos, but maybe I'm all wet.

If someone has done these and they're crappy I could save some wasted time and money...

Any thoughts?

TIA

I've done quite a few extractions from pipe tobacco, American Spirit, one cigar and a few herbal teas. Most came out nice. The one I used the most is black and gold cavendish. The Virginia and Burley are good as well. I haven't done any extractions since last year, I made a lot. It was fun to experiment and not expensive.

Thanks for reply,

Are you still using them in your tobacco juice?

Are Virginia and Burly considered pipe or do they just list them under pipe for tax/legal reasons?

Considering Brightleaf Virginia Flue Cured Tobacco Leaf - Sweet Tobacco Leaves For RYO, MYO, Pipe Tobacco, Hookah Tobacco, and more.

And: Brightleaf Virginia Flue Cured Tobacco Leaf - Smooth Tobacco Leaves For RYO, MYO, Pipe Tobacco, Hookah Tobacco, and more.

Or is it better to get the stuff cut up in a pouch already?

I purchased the tobacco from pipesandcigars.com. You get a lot of tobacco for a reasonable price. I have plenty left over and still use my extractions when I'm in the mood for tobacco, lately it's been fruits, dessert and mint.
