I'm bit lax in getting 'er done. Some people asked if it had a gold cast. I think this might help. Polished silver door, nickel, and gold. If you know what taupe is to grey, that is what my eye sees in the nickel to polished. Clear as mud???

Its def hard to photo it but its got a shiny nickel tint like chrome but tinged almost gun metal but alot lighter it looks great

It's definitely not gold, I would say a flat nickel. As Robert mentioned in an earlier post, he was expecting the "shiny" nickel finish. I think it's gorgeous!

Rob, do you mean like chrome polish? Can't imagine someone taking the finish off their nickel to make a polished reo;-) I was wondering if chrome polish would be OK to use and if it would give some protection from scratches. Or what about car wax? I'm petrified to use mine yet until I get something protective on it. It already arrived with 2 minor scratches on the door and I was aware of the problem preorder. I just don't want to add any

I put a mirror finish on the nickel mods with mothers mag & aluminum polish but you will have a finger print magnet .I am not a big fan of polished mods I cant handle the finger prints. I polished Lisa's nickel mod maybe she has a pick

WOW! That looks really awesome. Just dont leave it at a crime scene cause they wont even need dust to get finger prints.

Possibly...I've never tried that. Anyone else try that?? I don't think it would stop fingerprints or even scratches for that matter.

Ya...those who can't deal with prints would not like this finish at all. They'd constantly be wiping it down.

Hmm..the Mrs uses something on our stainless appliances that protects from prints, might work? I'll ask her what is it or y'all can just google.
