I don't do knock-offs or counterfeits, but I love my 2 Poldiacs. One of the best side button mechs around. The switch can be a little intimidating at first (to disassemble & clean), but it's really not that difficult at all. My only issue with the
device is the adjustable post pin - good in theory, but it could use a little refinement. AFAIK, the counterfeit Poldiacs don't have a left-hand
threaded screw for that post, so I could see that being an even bigger problem.
My only other issue is with the company itself, great quality, but they're charging VAT to non-EU customers, which they shouldn't be doing. It's a 23% tax. I've been in contact with them over the last couple weeks trying to get them to change their policy, but apparently half of Greece takes the month of August off, so there hasn't been much progress as of yet with their lawyer being MIA.
When I was researching side-buttons, the other 2 that came up at the top of the list were the Roller & the GG. The Roller has a good button as well, but personally I don't care for telescoping
devices. I also liked the Poldiac switch just a bit better. The GG has a lot of fans, but after talking with a few people who own all 3 of them, it's just not up there with the Poldiac or Roller. Plus there's no way I'm putting a Golden Greek in my mouth.
