I am in the market for a new side firing 18650 mod; right now I'm deciding between:

  • Dominus Fecit Lords Edition
  • MMV Poldiac
  • GG Esterigon

All three are quality mods with a high degree of craftsmanship in their construction, so that's not a major concern. In addition, I'm not going to go below half an ohm (0.8 to 1.2 more typical), so although voltage drop is nice, it's not critical. I have no preference between top or bottom firing buttons. I prefer a satin finish, but not so much that it would prevent me from purchasing a mod that's otherwise great. Things I'm weighing in my decision include:

  • Smoothness of the button press; any sort of rubbing or friction in pressing the button drives me nuts.
  • Simple 510 adjustments.
    • My Atmizoo Lab forces me to tweak the 510 from the outside: try the atomizer, readjust 510, try again, wash rinse and repeat until I get the atty flush.
    • I want something that is either spring loaded, or that I can adjust from the rear (remove cap, loosen from the back, screw atty in, then tighten from the back until contact is made).
  • Ease of disassembly and reassembly.
    • The fewer teeny tiny small spring loaded parts that shoot out into space and time for assembly, the better.
    • The easier to get spare parts, the better.
  • Customer service.

I had the good fortune to handle a Poldiac today, and it was impressive; as yet, I haven't been able to see either of the other two mods in person. I'd love to hear feedback and thoughts on which one people would select and why.

I have two Poldiacs and have really enjoyed using them. I will not go into how smooth it operates as you have had the pleasure of seeing and handling the Poldiac.
To get your atomizer to sit flush on a Poldiac all you have to do is back the contact screw out and screw on your atomizer. Then just screw your atomizer back and forth and the screw will "self adjust" itself so your atomizer is flush. The threads on the contact screw are reverse threaded, which makes this possible.
The switch, with the Rhodium coated contact parts, does not require cleaning as often as just silver coated parts. I clean my switches every couple of months and it is quite easy to do.
MMVapors has all spare parts available and the prices are not "jacked up". In fact, you could purchase a Poldiac by buying the individual parts and only pay a couple of dollars more than buying a complete mod.
MMVapors has great customer service and really values their customers.
They have manuals that you can download for all their products on their website.

MMVapors is offering the "Classic" Poldiac at the present time with all three battery size tubes and pants included for the same price as they have been selling it for with just one size tube/pants.

I can not speak about the other two mods you listed, as I have never handled them or looked at them.

I can't speak to the other mods, though I've heard good things about the Poldiac, the Esterigon seems too fiddly with lots of parts for me.
I do have the Dominus Fecit with the Lord upgrade and I love it. The copper topcap pin is the only adjusting required as there is a spring under the bottom copper contact that takes up any battery rattle. The button is clicky, it's really nice. If you have the opportunity to play with one try it.

The GG Esterigon would be a great choice! The button could not be any smoother, and the mod adjusts for atomizer and battery automatically. There are quite a few small parts to contend with, but once put together, there are no adjustments to be made, just vape! Great performance, and good looking. Great customer service, from Imeo here on the GG forum, and the 3 authorized resellers :)

Esterigon. Best side switch ever made. So smooth. Its better than 99% of electronic buttons and it is fully mechanical.

Auto adjusting. This is a major breaktru. Absolutely amazing feature. I reach for the esterigon more than my others because i have to do nothing to get it up. Screw in atty. place battery. Vape. You dont know what youre missing till u try it.

The small parts can be intimidating but honestly its a breeze. You could own an esterigon for 2'years and never break it down because everything is so sealed from dirt and dust. For real. It takes 2 minutes to clean all contact surfaces and its a breeze.

IMO the esterigon is a truly revolutionary device. Try it out ad if for some reason u hate it...ill take it off yur hands :)

I forgot to say David has excellent customer service, it's made in California so no language barrier and he is always available should you need him, I've even known him to personally deliver stuff.

I don't think you would be disappointed with any of the mods on your list, all seem to be highly regarded.
