Anyone able to visually validate VTC5 from pictures?

I remember reading something awhile back about VTC5's being made in a factory in the Philippines.

I just ran across these from a coworker trying desperately to find them and I told him to hold off and I'd ask some smart people to give him a yay or nay.

I was never good at visually seeing if something is real or fake.

Actually I noticed the small full description link in the page that showed they are a different brand Replicating the VTC5...

Apparently reading a whole page is not my strong point...

From my readings, unless you are buying used, the chances of actually purchasing the real deal VCT5's is slim to none. There may be some supplier that may have new old stock that the vapers have not found.

They actually admit that these are fakes. From the add you linked to:

"Due to the overwhelming demand and shortage of the Discontinued Sony VTC5 batteries on the Market this days, '<company name> has decided to manufacture and engineer their very own high-drain VTC5 battery"

As far as I know, there are no authentic VTC5's on the market anymore. If your friend really needs 30A discharge, authentic VTC4 are available from the right suppliers.

If those pictures are of the product they are selling that is a scary thing, what is pictured if it is a "clone" is for all intents and purposes identical to the VTC5 in appearance even with the wrapper off. Top cap gap is correct, printing on body and QR code looks just like authentic as well.

Edit: Had a question, if you are entirely unable to differentiate the authentic product from a "clone" in both appearance and performance would you ever truly trust that product again?

Yea I didn't notice the click for more information link til after I posted so that was my bad., I am used to that being fully visible when you go to a page and not have it hidden.

And Yea froth i couldn't tell either so i figured i'd shoot it here, but after posting i kinda ate my own foot.

But yes its scary how accurate they can get anymore...
