I occasional vape O nic but I can vape it for about a day.
But I'm on the road to zero nic! Been vaping 6mg for about 3 months now. I have just started stocking up 4.8mg nic. So I have about a month supply of 6mg then I shall transition to 4.8mg.
I am zero nic as well.. which goes to show the act of smoking is habit forming. I make my own mixture using VG and food flavoring...that's it... maybe a drop or two of distilled water.. I vape all day zero nic
How did you decide to use VG and no PG? Why do you need to add water?
This has been a really great thread for me, and am fascinated by jfalbanese's posts. Extremely encouraging. Started with 18 mg, then 12 and now 6 or 9 mg.
I would like to switch to 0 mg for evening so I can sleep better. I have some USP grade VG from store. Are there flavors that I could buy at a grocery store to mix with the VG for now? Until I order some 0 mg or move over to the DIY section of ECF.

If you want to, I'd encourage you to try it. I often use 0% nic for testing flavours, and find I don't need to switch back to nicotine too soon if I am enjoying it. I think we all find our way to 0% nic at some point; some slowly, some quick. Switching to 0% nic ocassionally helps me define where the boundaries of habit and nicotine addiction lie. It's an educational and worthwhile exercise for anyone.

Most of the flavours we use are food flavourings, however not all food flavourings are suitable for vaping. If they contain insoluble (in water) oil, sugars, or large amounts of alcohol then they are generally unsuitable for vaping. There's a sticky over in the DIY forum that lists LorAnn flavourings and highlights those that are unsuitable for vaping. Here it is.
Edit:
Did you know that you can also vape with no flavouring? Some people like it because they don't actaully want to have to deal with all the flavouring issues: They may not be able to find something they can live with and I have to admit the whole flavour thing can get bothersome when the flavour you thought was going to be great starts to taste awful two days later. (or less). The senses of taste are funny things especially for someone with recovering taste and olfactory buds. You can thin the VG with a few drops of water to make it flow easier, or you can get PG from the drug store and make a more conventional 70PG/30VG mix.
Thanks. Groceries are limited here to Kr chain store and one I call WholePayCheck. I'll stop at the former after work and see what they have in flavors. If I don't find that, I'll go with the straight VG or VG/PG mix.
When I ask for propylene glycol, is there anything special I should ask for? I don't want to go into an explanation of vaping since many people don't understand.
I'm at 0% and I dont see myself quiting any time soon.
I found only 2 flavors that might work at the super Kr___ grocery store.
The Kr___ pharmacy would not sell me USP PG - thought that was weird, maybe another pharmacy will. I do have USP VG (Humco) from Walgreens.
These flavors do list the ingredients, but don't seem ideal. Most had a high % alcohol or sugar. Here's what I got:
Vanilla Butter & Nut flavor (water, PG,artificial flavor, xanthan gum, Yellow 5, Red 40)
Maple (water, artificial flavor, caramel color, PG)
Something named gum seems like it may not be good to vape, so I will search ECF for this, and if I can't find anything, I'll start a new thread in beginners forum.
So I'll mix with VG and see if an 808 cartomizer will take it, rather than gumming up my Kanger T3 or vivi nova mini and hopefully have something vapeable with 0% nic tonight.
