I like large dia coils for me horizontal builds. Use a 3.25 mm mandrel, tension wrap with 22 or 24 gauge, depending on target ohms. Generally shoot for 0.2-0.4 ohms, so still have quick heat up. then if warranted can always use the 100 watt box, and see what they can do. :D

Also, can like crank it down, if needed till build is seasoned.

I don't chase clouds, I chase Total Vape Satisfaction!!! tvs must have adequate nic delivery, great taste, and ample volume of vape to be inhaled for lung expansion. Seems my "sweet spot" is like 60-75 watts, with an occasional highs of 115, or something like that:D

Have you ever thought about using Gplat instead of Kanthal? Since you get lower resistance with the wire. What type of Atty are you building on? How’s your airflow set up? There is a lot to consider when cloud chasing, but you probably all ready know that if you are running 20 Gauge. If not then you have come to the right place ask away.

Frak, working with 22 gauge is like wrapping coils using paper clips. With the advent of high amp regulated mods, that can push up to, like, 200 watts, seems ridiculous to go so low, when we now have the tech to push a build at like up to 14 volts, heck, even a one ohm build can be pushed like much higher than I care to vape at.

Thick wire is so amp intensive, or something like that:confused::D:lol:

Vape long and Prosper.!!!!!

I'm rocking a dual parallel 24ga 4/4.5 wrap at 0.14 ohms exact (on a multimeter that tests to the thousandths place). It chucks clouds, but I think my wicking method is bad, cuz I'm not getting all the clouds I used to get when I wicked it differently.

Anyone want to donate some gplat or royal wire to me? I'm too cheap/poor to afford that stuff.
