I have been using a Tugboat and really like it but would love to find another rda that is great for it.

I am not opposed to making the pre drilled holes bigger but I cannot make new holes in the rda as I do not own a drill press.

I would like to be able to fit dual parallel 22g wires also or be able to fit dual 20g wires.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks.

You dont need a press to make new holes. Use a clamp and a facial towel to secure your cap to the edge of a table. Use an automatic punch to dimple the cap where you are going to drill to prevent walking. Get a 1/16th cobalt drill bit and use a variable speed drill. Drill a slow speed and use a bit of cutting oil or lube.

i havent got one yet but i woulda thought the MutationX would be a good choice with that awsome looking sleeve with all they holes.

I have a Mephisto and it has 3mm id post holes as standard and makes 22g look small and the cyclpos air slits are bigger than the plumeveil's..

Something Sporting one of these>>https://www.fasttech.com/products/3023/10009421/1834102.

So a MutationX Sleeve and a 2in1Topcap on either a plumeveil or tobh would be a nice frankenstein :)

I went out and purchased the above stuff it is near impossible to drill a new hole on the tugboat. I am doing this on a clone because I don't want to mess up my authentic ones.

I am trying to drill two 1/16 holes above the original airflow at a 45 degree angle.

I also just purchased the mutation x it seemed to be the one most people suggested so I went with it.

I have tried the mephisto not a huge fan. It dose not have enough air flow for me but the holes are nice and big.

Another vote for mutation x, which I see you got. Dont forget you can control airflow but make sure you put the coils on the right side or you lose that ability.

Good I'm looking forward to this. I have an authentic tugboat that has the the center post hole drilled out to accommodate lower gauge builds but the lowest I can go is 22g parallels.

I have not really worked much with 20g but I recently purchased some. Just for fun today I looking at the difference between it and the 22g. It's pretty big difference in my opinion.

I also tried to do a wrap on I think a 3/32 drill bit with the 20g 5 wraps killed my hands. I had to use pliers after every wrap to get it super tight.

Good luck Bro! Let us know how it goes.

Oh, and umm, Geaux ESS EEE SEE!!! :D

It's all about the SEC :) See your a Gators fan.

As of now I drilled for a solid 10 minutes on the tugboat and it has barley made a difference. I will post a picture tomorrow.

It's very ugly my drill bit was jumping all around on it prior today so nice and scratched. Oh well.

Where are you seeing them for $100? I was under the impression that they could only be acquired through a pre-order with that crowd funding project.

Haven't received it yet to comment. It was a crowd funding project so I am sure it will take a little time to get them made and sent out.

At the bottom of the link provided by stanthemanchan, it states the following...

Did you get nichrome or standard kanthal? Standard kanthal will kill your wicks fyi. Large ga wire heats up slow and cools slow, so if your juice has sweetener it will caramelize a lot.
