1/16 felt too small still so I went up to 3/32 with a small bevel.

At first I thought I made a mistake and ruined it, but after trying a nanocoil I freakin love it. I think I've found my new favorite setup. :)

1/16". I actually squonk and slightly tilt the mod towards the airhole (thanks Hildicat) and when I see a juice bubble the at the hole I know its wet. Fool proof.

I make a habit of vaping what I squonk and rarely let my REOs turn horizontal in my pocket so no leaks for this kid.

Great tip that works!!
I was wondering more about inside the cap condensation of juice slipping out of a bigger hole. I'm going to rebuild lower, and then see if I need to step up in hole size.

While blind squonking tilt the hole toward you and when you HEAR the gurgle stop the squeeze. I find this much better than looking for juice because you can do it in the dark, in the car driving, reading a book etc.

You can also tilt the hole toward you and just draw on the drip tip (no squonk). If you hear a gurgle you don't need a squonk. Thats just a way of find out if you're juiced up or not.

I have mine at 1/16. I had my igo-w at 5/64 and loved it, and I've been considering drilling my rm2 to that. But if I screwed the igo-w up, oh well, it was a $14 Atty not a $43 masterpiece ;-)

My thoughts exactly. Especially since caps aren't interchangeable. I would buy a cap without an air hole from Rob in a second, align and drill without worry.

Report on your findings!

Okay, I threw caution to the wind and drilled the rm2 out to 5/64.

And I love it! Running a .8ohm microcoil. A slightly airier draw than 1/16 (duh) but like Goldilocks, I find it's not too much, nor too little, it's juuussssttttt right!

As always YMMV. Don't go blamin' me when you eff up yer topcap!

Ninja edit: yup. THIS is my sweet spot. Now I can't wait to get my 26ga nichrome later today!

I have one drilled out to 1/16 and the other two or stock. I like the draw on both but I've found that coil placement affects the draw quite a bit so I think I'm going to drill out the other two to 1/16 to give me some flexibility.

Hey Crash, I'm thinking drill'n to 1/16 also, what are you finding the coil placement is giving you....closer to hole/father from the hole or up or down, whats the effect.....thanks

Total noob question--what do you use to drill out the hole? Do you put the cap in a vise and use a regular bit?

That's what I did. The rm2 topcap is pretty easy to drill, unlike the ss topcap of my igo-w. I broke 2 (admittedly crappy) drill bits on that sucker.
