Hi all. Anyone else have problems with their ego PV? I charged 2nd battery overnight, switched out the dying 1st batt and whooooaaaa!!! That one on the charger was hot! It and the end of the charger. And that battery is now dead. The charger I’m not sure of.. I just ordered a new one of each from cignot. Three weeks is a short life expectancy for a $78 kit because at this point the only thing I haven’t had to replace is the :censored: cone!

Someone tell me I’m not wasting $$ and this is just a fluke thing, as we all know those do happen…

Yeah Alex I already ordered a new battery, charger and a few e liquids from cignot, and put a long, rambling (but to the point) message in the options dialogue box to Vicki to see if I had any recourse. Thanks for the reply, and yes indeed cignot is way up there on the list of excellent merchants to deal with, they're so fast with their delivery they sometimes ship it before ya order it! Weird huh?

While the eGo is a very good pv, I've lost my respect for them. Something as common as an atty shorting out can fry the circuitry in the battery. I've lost 3 of them in 5 months. Luckily I got my eGo from Janty so it has a 6 month warrantee.

I've since moved on to a mod and now only use my eGo as a back-up.

I was surprised today, when one of my new, fully charged XL batteries did NOT make it through the work day. My regular TorneGo battery has always lasted through the day.

One of the two regular batteries which came with my kit (several months ago) was DOA.
An XL I ordered for a friend MAY be DOA as well ... but, I won't know for sure until Monday.

Yes, I know (and often preach) that any manufactured item can be defective. I'm starting to feel these batteries have a much higher than normal problem rate.

If you aren't ready to go for one of the bigger mods, I recommend the Iken lazer. They are inexpensive, the batts are cheap, last a good while and when you need to replace them as I said the batts are cheap. You can get 510 or Kr8 threads and with adapter you can use both attys/cartos.
