Yeah, I just checked and internet explorer holds my loggin, but firefox doesn't. When you say delete or rename the file, what file are you talking about? The firefox shortcut?

I'm running Google Chrome and really like it. Once in a while I find a website that doesn't.
As for ECF, when I got home from work Friday evening, I had to log back in. Haven't had to since.

Just wondering if you all are 'supporting members', donated money to ECF? Could be something similar to ads showing in threads for free members?

Yup, me too.
I'm a paid member, so it can't be that. Cuz it logs me out every 20 minutes or so. Grrrr ... very annoying. I'm using Vista, and my browser is Crazy Browswer -- which has always worked great for me. So I am assuming Vista might have something to do with it? But Vista has never given me any grief on this forum before, so I'm not sure.
I use windows xp and firefox, I only had to log in once, make sure you check remember me and hopefully that will take care of the issue for you.
That's been happening to me, too. And I always check the "remember me" box, LOL. Soooo...if I'm replying to a post, now I'm back to copying it before I hit the submit button. Easier than retyping.
Anyone continuing to have the problem may have rejected a cookie or may be operating their browser in privacy mode. Doesn't matter if it is Firefox or Internet Explorer.
It is a file in your Firefox profile called cookies.sqlite. The location of this directory is different based on you version of windows. Google "firefox not saving cookies between sessions" for more info.
I have internet explorer how would i fix it? happens practically every time i log in eventually it will log off. happens 9 out of 10 times.
i am not that great with cookies extensions directory stuff just easy basic pc stuff.
and to most people fixing this will be easy but then there are people like me that get confused.

This seems to be a recent problem outside in ECF land as well.... it has been addressed by other members and is/has been resolved
IF this persists (please give it a week for I am sure they are busy) and you definitely checked the remember me box.. you can post your request for help here

Unfortunately, dealing with cookies in Internet Explorer isn't quite as easy as with Firefox. Among other things different versions of IE have the settings in totally different places. What version are you using?

yeh thats what i do as far as posting i copy and paste before i hit submit reply cause it usually will log me out and i dont want to retype whole thing again
