I work in a warehouse with no heat or AC. IN the winter it gets cold. Very, very cold. The temp is dropping fast here and all last week it was very cold. I wear carpenter jeans and have a pocket on my right pants leg about knee height that I keep my mod in. Unless its on my work cart. Either way its freezing when I pick it up. All day I vape on a ice cold mod and it sucks. When I get in the jeep I turn the heat up and hold my mod to the vents trying to warm it up. I use 70% pg juice to help with wicking since the juice thickens up in the cold. Otherwise it causes no problems other than annoying me. Anyone else go through this?

Get one of the Mod holders with a lanyard for around your neck so you can keep it close to your body. I have 2 Evics and a SVD. I rotate the Evics in and out of the lanyard. I'm not talking about the lanyard for the Ego style batteries, this is for a APV. i found mine at DFW Vapor and saw it online at one other place but can't recall where anymore. Or maybe one of those battery powered hand warmers the hunters use. LOL.

what about those little packets hunters put in their mittens and socks to keep their hands and feet warm for hours? or would that be dangerous on a battery? If not stick one in the pocket with the PV

Good idea! Going to snow this week and not looking forward to standing in the snow tossing a frozen Frisbee for the dog. We have a bag of the reusable hand warmers somewhere. Not sure they're practical when working in a warehouse.

Yep, the lanyard around the neck, or other inside pocket.
Also for comfort's sake, Id stay away from metal drip tips- acrylic for winter?
All the best, stay warm.
(btw- no jokes about my location, OK? I live at 3800feet, and go up above 9000ft regularly- the mountain is completely snow covered
this weekend)
all the best, happy holidays.

Uhm, yeah. I second Ipster's drip tip suggestion. We HAVE had members who've gotten their metal drip tip stuck to their lip in the right (or wrong) conditions.

Lol company too cheap to turn on the heat! Funny .... It's a cold storage warehouse, supposed to be freezing cold. I did this years ago and actually enjoyed it. I smoked back then and would take a warm up break (excuse really to smoke) every hour or so.

If I were doing it today I would wear something with an inside pocket just under the freezer gear as part of my gear always. Place it inside the pocket and have it keep warm with your body heat. With a lanyard I would think it would move around too much and be distracting. Sometimes you have to get off a forklift and do other things.

I have, work for the railroad years ago. Emegency pager flashing lights and all. My thing was a dr pepper ice cold or punch, any kind. Noob to caffeine Dr pepper was dr pepper for me. lol who knew punch drinks have/had stronger caffeine. lol

Below zero hero'ing it out there for working stiffs to get to their jobs and places to be. Great work soldier what ever your doing in that warehouse sounds like a small fry biz startup -- heaters, no room for heaters-- see this is why I enjoy unions and see a need..

RIP those in that train accident..

What the hell is in the warehouse, blocks of ice.?..dont tell me the company is too cheap too turn on the heat>

Just about every single grocery store has a cold storage area that runs around -10F to -20F. In fact, -20F is considered optimal for freezers that contain ice cream and stuff like that.

I work at a huge grocery store, and we keep our freezers at -20F.....

So, I'd imagine any warehouse that holds ice cream or anything similar that ships to grocery stores or elsewhere, would keep the entire warehouse at about -20F
