i live in a cruel part of the world where it reaches -30C/F. i'm dramatic, but i effing hate it with all my being. i was using ego batts with 3.5 ml vision clearomizers and a 70/30 pg/vg blend. the cold did not do well with this set-up in temperatures colder than -10C. i was unable to go from a warm environment outside to vape. the liquid would not heat up to a temperature where it would vape. i switched to cartomizers, and was able to vape in awful temperatures. i now use carto tanks and have received my first vivi nova, which i like. i don't have a lot of hope for the vivi nova, but i really do hope that my smokech tanks do well.

If you can switch to a greater PG proportion, VG being water based, freezes easily.

THAT explains a lot to me! I work in the freezer and store my stuff in a locker which is about 50 degrees. My juice is always very almost, slimy after sitting in the cold too long, I use about a 70% vg blend. Thanks for that info!

So are all the PG-intolerant people residents of the tropics then? How would they survive elsewhere?

Buenos Aires's weather is very much like San Francisco's, somewhat more humid. I vape mostly PG in the winter and more VG in summer. Someone said it above, VG gets slimy in cold, humid weather, and takes longer puffs and higher volts to have the same vapor.

When vaping outside in cold weather you will have less vapor production. In the cold your juice will become thicker. Ya might want to ditch those metal drip tips if outside ;) If your ecigs get left outside in the cold, which is not a great idea, warm them up a bit before using them. Most importantly, make sure you do have lots of battery power in case of power outages and if possible some way to do at least some charging. Don't wait until the last minute to place orders for something you are about to run out of and need to continue vaping - remember even if your winter weather is ok your vender may experience bad weather and shipments may be slowed down because if it. Happy winter vaping everyone :)

Well I'm not in a cold state but I work in a cold place. A frezzer -25 8+ hours a day, always have my vmax with nova 2.5 tank an have yet to have a problem with batts (never changed a set at work yet) or juice 50/50. It gets stuck in my coat pocket as trying to get to pants pocket through my jacket ( big frezzer jacket) is a pain. It gets cold(pv does) and works just fine. Blow hugh clouds of vapor in that kind of cold to.
