Anyone else use the Areo Base on a PT2 yet?

im having issues finding that wattage "sweet spot" as well. im running a 1.8 ohm coil (verified by meter) on a vv x6 smooth battery and a ptII (the setup in my pic from page one). the low setting is not enough for me,and medium burns the juice (cherry limeade, 50/50 pg/vg/ 2mg nic) i have tried 1.5ohm verified and 2.2 unverified and both are obviously polar opposites. im going to start getting into rebuilding my own coils so hopefully i can fix the issue with a little time put into figuring out my "style" of rebuild. any pointers on that are welcome.
ps. im starting with 2mm ekowool and kanthal 30 a1.

Even at 3 volts the throat hit is like razor blades. I've run it from 3 volts to 5 volts, from 4.5 watts to 10 watts, just can't get the throat hit right.

Going to switch the Aero base to a PT2 single coil and see how that does. On the PT2 I normally vape between 7 watts and 9.5 watts deepening on the juice.

On the road still and all my PT2s are at home. Looking forward to getting back to the single coil, I think. Will vape my iClear 30s until I get home.

Ok, so I vaped a full tank with one of my Aerotanks, it is now vaping like it should. Assume the coil need to be broken in, never experienced that before but I am enjoying it now.

Going to try the Aero base on my Protank II next see how the airflow controller works with a single coil hopefully it keeps the Protank II from leaking.

I just picked up 2 and love the airflow factor as it has a nice draw and the sealed 510 bottom with no juice leaks is a plus. They are put together with one side screwed together and the other is a pressed fit with 2 springs oposing on each side of the twist adjustment middle. One of them came apart at the pressed fit side and told the vendor and they are sending me another one. Today while trying to take it off the tank to clean my Protank 2 it came apart at the pressed fit end....doh....it went back together but makes me nervous that my Protank could crash if it came apart unexpectedly. So be aware that they are not solid....nice airflow though...:D
