I am always probably over cautious handling e-liquids of any kind (gloves, wipes etc).....

I have taken the odd "overfilled/messily filled carto" splatter of wta e-liquid in my mouth, but i spit it out and nothing much comes of that.

I just wondered has anyone ever had a bigger spill/issue handling a WTA liquid? Is it any different from regular nic liquid?

Over the course of time I have developed a rather cavalier attitude regarding contact with my juice with no ill effects. I can get quite a bit all over me when I'm being klutzy. I do wash though, it stings if it gets in your eyes.

Biggest scare I had was when my son got ahold of a 30ml bottle of non-WTA 26 mg Havana, tore the lid and dropper off, dumped it out and rolled around in it. Immediate shower for both us. But he's a BIG dude and nothing seemed to come of it.

WOW...you must have a lot of WTA on hand. Since you never purchased any from us I think you should contact your other supplier. Your concentrate that you are handling....how did you come to the conclusion that you are dealing something so concentrated and equal to many puffs? Nevertheless, common sense should be used as when you are handling any nicotine product, However if you are unable to handle nicotine safely maybe you should avoid it all together.

No no, its not "concentrate", just e-liquid (24mg/ml stuff) :p I just figure you know, that 15-20 drops or whatever is equal to 300 puffs or whatever...maybe I am being over cautious, IDK (I do use gloves just for re-filling cartos, maybe thats unnessasary, or maybe thats a level of reasonable extra caution, IDK)

Ive never spilled any on myself, and I just wanted experience from those who had. I have had a tiny splatter in my mouth once, which I spat out, and that didnt seem to do anything much.

I do like to be mindful, and its nice to know what your dealing with there. I hope I haven't overstepped any boundaries by asking the question here?

I don't have a problem telling you what I think.
In fact, I was thinking about this quite a bit today. I don't know for a fact, but it would seem logical to me that making a distinction between WTA added juice and regular nic-only juice in terms of spill safety should not really be a consideration. The major dangerous component in either case is nicotine, by volume and by a large percentage amount in the case of WTA added.

I was also wondering if there is *any* information on the physical safety of just the minor alkaloids, either individually or as a mixture? You know, like we hear "X number of drops of pure nicotine on the skin would be lethal"...is there an "X number of drops of anabasine or anabatine on the skin would be lethal?"

I'm sure there is, but I suspect the more worrisome component is nicotine.

I appreciate that snork :)

I did a quick google on the msds for anabasine. Looks like it does absorb through the skin, and is regarded as toxic at high doses - but the ld50 is higher(safer) than that of nicotine (11 mg/kg to 16 mg/kg versus 3mg/kg for nicotine - in mice).

So your very likely right about the nicotine.
