Anyone ever tried using a R/C glowplug???

Hey guys my DH was looking around last night and was wondering if anyone ever tried using a R/C glowplug as a heat source?

First of all, what does DH mean? Can't say I have ever seen that before.

R/C glow plugs are designed to handle less voltage and current over a short period of time. They will go up in smoke if power is applied for too long or if the voltage and/or current is to high. I have owned several nitro cars, planes, and helicopters over the years and I don't think a glow plug is going to be the holy grail for attys. Trust me on this one. I've wiped out hundreds of glow plugs over the years. Besides, glow plugs cost about $5 each; half the price of a new atty if you know where to shop.....

Glow plugs handle up to 2 volts. At least thats the highest I've seen.

I've seen a discussion on the use of glow plugs, it's probably still here somewhere.
The idea was pretty much discarded.

How about a glow plug from a small diesel engine? It would have to be a 100% modded piece but if done right it could be produce a vapor cloud the size of Texas. i am thinking an e-hookah the ones i have researched have a wide range of sizes and voltages (8-15) and the size of the element (15-30+mm). It would have to be a large unit to even hold the part and power supply. but i think it would be great for parties.

I'm very interested in making one of those. I have 2 hookahs and I would love to turn one into a vaporizer. I'm new to PVs in general, but I do have some experience with building electronics. What heat range is best for making vapor? I don't know much about glow plugs, I looked it up on Wikipedia and didn't learn much. This thread talks about the idea here, doesn't look good but I still have hope. If anyone knows the temperature range I want to look around if I can find something.
