Alright guys here a simple resolve for leaky novas. If your leak is coming out of the threading where the caps screw onto the plastic tube, which in my experience is 9 times out of 10 even with my firends vivi novas, then a simple fix is to wrap your threads with Plumbers Teflon Tape. You can find it at any hardware store or dollar store and thats about as much as it costs too, only a dollar. Its very cheap and very effective! Its a white tape and comes on a little ring like spool kinda like how medical tape comes. Yeah some novas are just machined better than others plain and simple so if the threading got mis-aligned or something in the production process then Teflon Tape is your answer. Just wrap the threading on the TUBE tightly about 2 or 3 times around, screw your cap back on and BAM no more leaky nova! After mine oozed liquid ever so slowly from the threading and then I put that tape on it has been filled with juice for a month now and not a single little drop leaked anywhere. Its such an easy fix! I use airbrushes alot and have to use that tape on the threading of my hoses when I screw it into an air compressor so thats what gave me the idea and its flawless. Again this fix is ONLY if your leak is coming from the threading which is unfortunatley common in vivi novas both standard and mini sizes.

I have a vivi nova mini. Does anyone know where to acquire a replacement sleeve/plug that the bottom center pin rests in?

After examining mine it looks kinda gnarly. That's where mine leaks from. Maybe a wrap or two with plumbers tape would increase its diameter and make a tighter seal? And there's a fair amount of play in all center pin of all tanks with similar design that I've come in contact with. Ahhh...there's so much tinkering involved with these poor designs IMO!

SOLUTION:

look inside the drip tip that comes with the vivi nova. There should be a small silicon ring in there. Push it down. That will effectively seal up the connection between the drip tip and the head. My leaks stopped completely when I learned this from the forums...

That may slow the leak that I have going on in the base pin by creating more vacuum. But it's not going to stop it. There's a small rubber sleeve that the bottom pin sets in. It has a small flange on top to hold it in the base cap and a larger one on its bottom that sets the distance of the pin. And it's also suppose to seal the bottom cap in which mine is not doing a very good job of at the moment.

That little plug is where mine leaks from.
