anyone familiar with usps ??

I sold all my mods and extra stuff a little over a week ago on the classifieds in order to raise some money to get my kids some new school clothes. I shipped on the 19th. I have one that still has not made it to its destination. Like a complete idiot I did not add confirmation or tracking. I still have the receipt. Is there anything I can do to find out where the package is?

Since you have the receipt number you can try entering it in at this page:

USPS - Track & Confirm - Put our delivery information to work for you

If that doesn't work, you can call them at: 1-800-222-1811. I've never had good luck calling them direct, but you might.

thank you for the info, I tried putting the receipt number in online and got a message saying information is not available on line. I will try to call and see if I can get any information.
Valuable lesson learned here on buying tracking and confirmation.

Yeah the USPS is notoriously bad.

However, once you add tracking to a package they seem to take a little better care of it. At least that is what I've observed from my own personal experience.

I have shipped sooo many things through usps here in pif and for years on ebay, and can only think of one time something did not make it. I dont know what to do here. It has been a week, at what point do you guys think I should just eat the money paid for this item refund it and write off my mod as MIA ???

I would give it at least a few more days, Sensay. USPS has been really slow lately. I recently mailed something that took a week to get from Detroit to Toledo.

Most of the time the PO is great, however sometimes things happen.
I have done a lot of mailing on ebay for ex.
I have seen a Priority pkg. take 10 days from Florida to Texas!
My first Halo order took about 10 days!
If the address is wrong it can take 30 days to find out!

So don't panic.

That carto co-op we did, out of all 20 ppl, Gut was the only one they lost. I didnt get a tracking or confirmation. We gave it a month and I ended up giving him my personal stash of cartos and that time I did get a confirmation/tracking!

I had a package recently I sent (not PIF) with tracking and they sent it to the facility near the recipient, crushed the box and lost the contents, then returned the empty box to me. I should've insured. Stupid USPS.
