Never have seen any good deals on ebay but then paypal will not allow you to purchase ecigs or accessories in the US (you can use paypal if you are ordering from china though) so this may be the reason - most china based dealers are not going to want to pay the ebay fees so they have their own websites
I buy parts and such on ebay a lot. I use paypal to do so. Never had an issue. I think the general rule is , NO NIC PRODUCTS! they get around it with being parts. for atomizers..... idk
I got my squid mini rda on ebay for like 8 bucks. Higher then FT price but only took 3 days to get it. You could probably come up with more using RDA or RBA on ebay to search. Good luck and let me know what you find!

Just make sure you don't put anything related to e-cigs in the comments on paypal and you should be fine. I bought my ProVari on eBay and it's great, nearly perfect and I got a very good price on it. There is a KFL/Russian clone out there for around $40 that I've read good things about, haven't tried one personally however.
All I ever see is a ton of people dumping Russians and K100/K101 s all over the place. Decided actual vendors are a better option.
i have gotten all my mini pro tanks from there and there is a good vendor called vapingtown 2013. i just ordered 120' of 32 g kanthal for 4.25 and free shipping. i have ordered all my pt coils from there with no issue. everything has come in the orginal package un opened. i have no issues with them and since my budget is so tight it works well for me. there are plenty of clones on there for rba and rda. i have most of my favorite vendors saved and go take a look here and there to see what new stuff they have listed.
I bought 2 KF tobeco clones on ebay, both are great and feel and vape exactly like the r91% besides them 
I use Vapingtown as well,,,,,,,,,,,,they were fast,,,,,,,,,and the one time they made a mistake, they fixed it PDQ.
I got my k100+ off ebay
Came as advertised and works just fine. Got all my kanger t3's and evods their too. Also a good cheap place to pick up kanthal and wick.
Use ebay all the time, like anywhere else have to choose your vendors cautiously. Also use paypal with no problems.
I got a Nemesis clone off eBay and it's awesome!! Few drip tips are on the way also

I bought a Kayfun Lite clone by Tebecco from Ebay. Good price ($39.49), good delivery time and it is just like a Kayfun Lite clone by Tebecco I bought from an online site for $50. The online site charged shipping and the one from Ebay came with FREE shipping.
These clones are just like my real Kayfun Lite, except the clones have adjustable air flow.

You have to keep in mind people that if you are in the US and you buy something from someone in the US that is a TOS violation. If you do have a problem and mention the word "e-cigarette" in a PayPal or eBay dispute you lose any buyer protection and risk having your accounts suspended. Buying or selling e-cigs or liquids in a US to US transaction is still a TOS violation. Getting clever by hiding devices under obscure categories on eBay is one way some sellers get around it. But if you cough up $100.00 for a "pristine" Provari and someone sends you a piece of rusted re-bar in a box instead kiss your $100.00 goodbye.
Got my last itaste v3 and MVP2 from vapingtown on ebay, with the free shipping, was the cheapest I found, shipping was fast and products was good with genuine labels/numbers, would use again, but admit I would not put a big amount of money down on ebay for e-cig stuff, as not covered as others have said already/
Same experience here with vapingtown as well. Just a wird thought tho. I looked over the rules and find it ridiculous that one can sell nicotine patches and gums -phaRmaCeuticals! - (uh used to have to get a PresCriPtion for this!!) but ecigs CompoNents not allowed! Puhleeeze.....
Not 'great deals', but I've been able to get my hands on some of the newer stuff that the vape shops either don't have yet, or don't plan to carry MUCH 'faster/hassle free' than I would if I ordered out of Hong Kong. I also feel I got the benefit of the seller doing some basic inspections of the kit before selling it in the US.
I ONLY use my PayPal acct for ALL ecig purchases, never a problem

As long as the vape gear is used for auroma therepy it should be covered still. I do agree with buyer beware. Its a loophole that scammers could use to get you. With the rating system in place, if you use it wisely, It can be a good place for small gear items. Who is to say kanthal and silica are for vaping?
