It's too bad, I only received the Vivi 2 weeks ago and I've been plagued by leaks and trying to rebuild the attys without the rubber burning. Wish i saved the $15 and days of frustration of wiping it clean. From what I've read about the AGA-t, it looks solid. I wish I had the money to spend on a Zen, but that's just super-overpriced IMO.

Does anyone know of a replacement grommet for fixing the burning taste issue in the Vivi Nova? I'm trying to circumvent wrapping NR wire or doubling the legs. Ideally, something with higher melting temperatures would be great! I fly RC airplanes and I'm thinking of trying the silicone fuel tubing.

Well sounds like u r running the ohms to low add one more wrap to ur coil. Or u have a short. The wire may be touching the the sides on ur + wire

I have the Neptune 3.5ml Black jacketed one. Just a note on the black jacket, while it's kinda cool looking (I'm a sucker for appearance), liquid and water when cleaning can get in between the tank and jacket. It oozes out when you squeeze the tank to take the top off to refill it. I have to be careful when filling to run the liquid down the side of the center post so it doesn't touch the plastic tube. I also think the jacket may actually be a slight bit longer than the clear tube itself, leading to sealing issues for the two end caps. Maybe I just received a dud?

I have a genuine Vivi Nova, and have not had any of the major issues that I've seen described, have the version 2.5. I've had zero dry hits, and no burning at all. I don't have to spin it or put it on its side to wick or anything, either. I have found that if I leave it on its side, and it is full of liquid, that the atty tends to flood. I just use an eGo twist and up the voltage to clear the flooding.

I would suggest that if you want to like the Vivi, make sure you get a genuine 2.5 and genuine atomizers for it.

So, if i use my vivi nova 1.8 ohm with my twist at 4 volts, I end up with a nasty flavor, but if I switch it down to the minimum voltage it's just fine, I assume its just running the coil too hot at 4 volts. I have a week old vivi nova 2.5 to add more data.

I just use the high res (2.8 ohm) head with my twist, and low res (1.8 ohm) with my pass through at home. Really good flavor from both, better from high res high volt though.

@Fignuts -- maybe you got a dud? It's possible. I currently have 12 Mini Vivi's filled with different juices in constant rotation. All 12 are always filled with juice. No leaks and no burnt taste. I use the 1.8ohm heads on a Twist at 3.6v with 50/50 juices and they perform like champs. I have yet to replace a head and three of them I've had since Oct. 12th. I also don't clean them nearly as often as some people do and don't have any problems, although none of my juices are dark colored. The only thing I've noticed is that if I haven't used a particular one for a couple days it takes a couple of hits for it to fully wake up.

There are some on here that knock the Vivi's, but a whole lot more that are in love with them. I find they mute the flavor maybe 10% vs. dripping on an atty but, for me, their convenience and reliable performance more than makes up for that. They're all I use these days.
