Who here owns a foggatti? because i tried wrapping so many coils on that thing and it just pops on the top near the positive post. I put a pretty weak battery in it too and pulse it ever so slightly so it oxidize. Still pop. I can wrap an 1.8 coil and it works fine but i don't like the vapor production or throat it out of it. I even tried ribbon kanthal still pop. Any suggestions? I can wrap a bliss and a lavagen perfectly fine now. I guess I am still pretty new to this rba still.

Yes the smaller you go it will pop if it is not a perfect coil, but they have not used the smaller gauge wire yet, they have it ordered.

EDIT: remember the smaller the number the larger the wire, and the larger the number the thinner the wire for kanthal.Or did i get that backwards???

I have a suggestion!...sell it to me.....lol just kidding buddy.. try to loosen the screw on the positive pole a lilbit..and make sure the top coil is wrapped tightly around the pole not to tight but thight enough that you can see the wick pull a lilbit towards the pole...

lossen your negative screw and re-tighten lightly.. pull on wick from the top, like give the wick a lil nudge from the top and keep test firing it while following these steps untill theres no hopspots or shorts..... don't forget to add drops of ejuice directly on the coils while test firing .

Also make sure you oxidized the wick with water and stove, thorch and water atleast 3 times, works well for me... you can also wrap the wick outside the atty to give it a nice and even wrap around the wick, then drop it in the wick hole tighten bottom first then top.

Also try the peter k method if you wish. What I do after instaling the wick I pull on the top coil wire to tighten it enogh to the positive pole, helps get rid of the hot spot. You may also want to consider 30awg kanthal for you atty works great and its a lil thicker. it can handle the low omhs with no problem at all...you can always twist your kanthal together if its 32 or 34awg, it will give you low ohms .8, .9 for use on a mechanical mod.
It should look somthing like this with the twisted kanthal method

See how the wire is slightly pulling on the wick...

Hmm.. i would try this sounds like a good idea hmm.. the foggatti is finicky. I tried the peter k method not my thing, but haven't used it on the foggatti might try it. It because the foggatti has a recess chamber so it hard to set it up
