Best fix for a leaky clearomizer style tank is a RBA style tank.

So, ah, is this because one goes from a leaky drop-in situation to a leaky self-built situation? LOL, don't mind me, I'm feeling a bit bitter about my RTAs, lately.... That could work.

Or could trying a different coil, or coil style, is this the same coil you have been using the entire time? Half a tank is quite a bit of liquid, does it happen around specific times? Or just randomly.... I do believe pressure plays a role in tanks not leaking, so perhaps some pressure changes are happening when the level goes down that cause Sudden Leakage? I'm sorry to not be of more help, I don't know this tank....

I have an Ello tank and mine doesn't leak. Using the HW1 coils at 45 Watts. Any higher and it does get really hot. Is your coil screwed in firmly? Tank itself screwed together tightly? Maybe it is just a bad coil...
It's my 3rd coil.

@Jingles. Does your glass tank move if you twist it?

I recently got an Istick Pico 25 with a standard Ello 3 tank, and for the first 3 weeks, I was experiencing leakings all the time. I tried to find everything I could online, and after much research, I found out that the leaking was related to the way I was smoking and not to the Ello tank. I was constantly pressing the fire button and waiting for the device to bring me the desired smoke, but the thing is, you need to *drag* the smoke from it just the way you would do with a normal cigarette, otherwise the whole thing heats up too much, there is not enough airflow and the liquid ends up entering the coils causing gurgling and leaking. My advice is, set the temperature of your Pico to something in between 300 and 400Fº, and the wattage to 60W (you can go up if you want, but 60W seems to produce the right amount of smoke to me). I've tested mine with HW1, HW3 and HW4 coils so far, and the 60W + 350Fº combination is just perfect with the 3 kinds of coil. Since I started dragging the smoke and not waiting passively for it to come from the device, leakings and gurglings are simply gone.

Cheers

Um, what coils are you using and what material are they made of?

Yeah, you can't wait until the VAPE comes to you, you have to draw on it properly, glad you isolated your issue.

To be honest, I'm not entirely certain that the coils you are using are TC material unless you are using a different, non-proprietary coil? The coil material has to be stainless steel, ceramic, titanium or nickel. The last two can have some issues if NOT vaped correctly in TC, or vaped correctly in TC. I will also note that TC parameters are different for everyone, if I started my TC at 60 watts and then up to 400 degrees, I would be a rather unhappy camper probably, but I am a low wattage vapor.

But, are you sure you are even IN TC mode? Some mods will kick you out of it automatically unless you are using the correct type of coil.

I think there MAY be some more things to learn, but if you are vaping TC coils correctly, I certainly apologize although I do think that recommending a "blanket" TC value/wattage really isn't the way to go, these things are quite individual.

HW 1 is SS316L wire. watt or TC
HW 2, 3 & 4 are kanthal wire. watt only unless your power device claims to support kanthal TC.

As far as leaking goes, the head must be tight into the base, o rings must be in place undamaged and make a seal, if you can twist / move the glass part of the tank with it all put together correctly most likely missing or failed o ring(s).

I concur.

The only other thing I'd check is whether one of the coil's legs is breaking a seal on the bottom of the unit. Look very closely at the bottom of the coil. If you see a small wire protruding from either insulator, snip it or push it all the way in, and find a way to press the very bottom metal part of the head all the way up and into the housing.

This is a problem with almost all Smok Baby and compatible coils. Eleaf and Geekvape versions are just as bad.

RTA and RDA options are out there, but best not tried if you're just starting out. Get the basics of the art right first.
