I am trying to find a device that will work for my brother who for now is very picky. He is a heavy smoker so I know a cigalike will not work for him. He wants something small and automatic.... I know! I saw somewhere someone mentioned a mini that was an automatic but I can't find one. Even if I can find a mini that is not an automatic that is good quality it might work. Does anyone have one? Know how long these small batteries last?

I like the eroll for cigalikes. I got mine here (see link below) but there might be a better price somewhere else. I would recommend the stainless one though as I have had the paint start coming off on my black one. I would also recommend having at least 5 of the tanks (don't recall how many come with the kit) as you can't refill the same one over & over without letting them air out or you will have condensation problems. Otherwise they are a good performing device for a cigalike. About the battery, the charging case is 1k mah. They are designed to take a drag or a few drags & then put it back. So the little battery will last a sort time but the charging case lasts quite a while before needing a recharge.

If he is a heavy smoker, minis probably won't work for him.

He would need at least an ego size Twist or Spinner, IMHO.

Better yet, something he will use, provari mini or reo mini....maybe stuff he will want to upgrade to for the ultimate vape after he finds he likes vaping.

Sticking to the mini concept though, the joyetech eRoll is pretty durn nice, but again, for a heavy smoker, minis are just not going to have the battery power, or length of time, or hit, for a heavy smoker.

If you go ego I would say get the 1100 Mah. It lasts much longer. Would still get him two so if one dies he has a back up. My freedom smokes has a cool looking set up called an x6.it is bigger but very cool looking. It is 1300 and I could get about 13 or more hours out of it and I vape all day at work.

That's what I was afraid of. :sigh:
He is 62 years old and works construction so he doesn't want anything big. I got my sister in law to make the switch 5 weeks ago using an Evod kit and he says that is too big. Good thing is she has not had a cigarette in 5 weeks! My brother is on top of tall buildings a lot so it would be hard for him to deal with it and a lanyard is out too. I know if I got him to switch for a few weeks he would probably find a way to make something better work but he is not real interested right now. Thanks for everyones help!

I would look at dawnbella's post if you want to learn about the minis. I don't think it will work.

510-X type automatic batteries work ok, 510 threaded but they won't fit standard eGo chargers unless you remove the plastic ring around the charging screw head

510 X Starter Kit

not a bad price, I got 2x 510-X batts, and 5x 510-T atomizers and 5x spare tanks for a little less than what they are asking (from a chinese supplier and had to wait a little over 2 weeks to get em)

These are slightly larger than standard cigalikes but not by much
Just have to clean out the atomizers on occasion and they should last a pretty decent amount of time

If you are considering the Provari a mini that is the one I would get. The only device I have ever been 100% satisfied with. I know they have mini in the name but I still think of it as larger than a mini.

I'm not spending that until I know he will make the switch. Kind of pointless if he doesn't. I do know it is much larger.

will definitely need to run 1.8Ω - 2.2Ω cartos on those, maybe even a LR Nano Clearo
Ultimately a inexpensive 650mAh eGo starter will be pretty good...those are small and won't break the bank if he doesn't take to vaping
eGo 650mAh w/ CE4 Clearomizer Blister Pack Starter Kit - MyFreedomSmokes.com

As I said in an earlier post, he says the Evod starter kit I got my sister in law is too big. It is 650 mah I believe. I know it is not big but he wants small so I think this one might actually work for him. I did NOT want to go with a cigalike because I don't think it would work for him but I am hoping this one will. It is 510 threaded so will a protank mini work on this? He can take extra batteries if this will work.
