This thread will get views for different reasons than yours so I will say that I am pretty sure you have to charge them only from the bottom via the usb. I believe if you charge them from the atomizer end they can fail. As for your question, The cords usually stay on unless you pull it.

I've had two passthroughs for ego over last year and half, and haven't had any issues like that whatsoever. I'm not over delicate with mine, either.

r77r7r ... just wanted to let you know the problem i had with my first passthrough (after more than a year of normal use) was that i noticed it getting surprisingly warm all of a sudden. I did a very careful inspection of the cord, and noticed that the area where the cord plugs into the unit had a tiny copper wire exposed. Thats a big fire risk, so i purchased a new unit. I think the cord must have been bent one too many times and finally failed. But wanted to let you know in case yours is warming up for the same reason. Check it to be safe! Neither of the two i've had warmed up much at all until the one unit popped a wire.

Thanks Oracel! It'a a barely a month old Joye PT, and the quality of the cord is exceptional. I will keep a watch on it tho.

The warmth I was experiencing was at the bottom half, and then the top half of the batt, when new. Now I don't notice it anymore. Weird.
